WINTER SKIN CARE ESSENTIALS.0
I live in Utah and the weather here is so dry, like skin cracking dry babes. It is not very cute… I have tried and tried to find my tried and true skin care essentials for the winter and finally have figured the best essentials and routine that works for me, keeps my skin hydrated, and isn’t a big lengthy process to do when I am getting ready for bed or in the morning. So, let’s get started. I have broken it up by my morning and my night routines.

Ugh, mornings are my least favorite time of the day. I wake up feeling like I just fell asleep… Any suggestions on some energy? Anyways, my morning routine doesn’t always start when I wake up, sometimes it isn’t until mid afternoon if we are being completely honest, but I always make sure that I do it before I put my make up on. My morning go to items are always my Tula Skincare products. Their line is seriously amazing. I use their cleanser to start with and then use their day to night moisturizer. I love that their cleanser doesn’t dry out my skin, and the moisturizer isn’t oily for when I put my make up on a few minutes later. Next, I love to use my Pixie 24K eye elixir because hello, remember how tired I am? I love to put this right under my eyes, give it a few minutes to dry, and then apply my makeup like normal. Lastly, I love the Pixie glow tonic, when I am done with my makeup, I spray this on and it helps me to have a dewy glowing look all day long and keeps my skin hydrated through the day.

This is where I generally slack… sometimes I am just so tired that I am truly lucky if I take my makeup off with a makeup wipe… however, when I take the time to do my skin care routine at night, my skin is so much more moisturized, it is softer, and I feel like I am on top of the world. I will say, my favorite thing at night is to use my Luna to cleanse my face. At night time I use Bioxideatm cleansing gel. It is a little bit harsher than the Tula cleanser so that is why I use it at night. When my skin is sensitive, I go back to my Tula cleanser. After cleansing my face, I use Maskcara’s MILK moisturizer. This is a thicker moisturizer than the Tula and can leave my skin oily so I choose to use it at night time so it has time to absorb into my skin before putting my makeup on the next day. Plus, I love how hydrating it is and I always wake up with my skin feeling like a baby’s bottom.
