I recently started working out consistently again. If you’re new around here I broke my tibia years ago and it has caused me immense pain ever since. Last fall I had the rod taken out of my leg and ever since I have not had any leg pain. It has been the best thing ever. I wasn’t able to do simple things like squat down to get on the floor with my kids, run and chase them, and so many other simple things. It has been such a life changing thing for me to be able to fully live my life.
Since I wasn’t able to exercise due to the pain for so long I needed all new active wear. I started researching, watching fitness Instagram accounts to see what they were wearing, and shopping (which was the fun part). I have found so many different pieces and every time I wear a lot of them you guys ask what they are and where they are from so I thought I would put it all in a blog post so you can find them easily later on!
S H O E S
I think shoes are the biggest thing when it comes to working out (well that and making sure your shorts/leggings are squat proof ha). I have gone through a few different pair and found my favorites. I try to run once a week and changing my shoes to Asics has been game changing. My brother is who actually recommended them to me and I haven’t looked back. They have made the biggest difference in running! When I do training the other 3 days a week (I ride my bike one day) I love my On Clouds. They have been so good for everything from High Fitness to strength/weight training.
S H O R T S
Shorts have been my favorite thing this summer. I love a good high waisted short. I have tried a few different ones and the length doesn’t so much matter to me as how high waisted they are. My favorite surprisingly have been FP Movement shorts. They are super high waisted and don’t move while I’m exercising which is huge to me. I love the fit they have to them and they are super stretchy. There are so many other options that I’m excited to try as well!
S P O R T S B R A S
Sports bras are something that I feel like you need a couple of. On my training days I don’t wear as supportive of a bra as I do on my running and biking days. For my training days I love the FP Movement bras because of the fit of them and how soft they are. They aren’t super supportive so I don’t like to wear them running. I am still wearing a really old supportive bra from years ago but have been looking at some different options to get a new one in the near future so I will keep you posted!
L E G G I N G S
There are so many different types of leggings out there but I feel like workout leggings are slightly different. No surprise FP Movement come in as my favorite again, I’m telling you the rise of them is my all time favorite. I’m excited to snag a few new pair in the next few months as my reward for sticking to working out!
I would love to know if you have favorite workout pieces and what brand they are. I love buying mine from Shopbop because they come super quick and they are so easy to return if they don’t end up being exactly what I want. Having good quality workout clothes makes a huge difference so I’m excited to hear what your favorites are!
