Breakfast time at the Krum household has always been a little stressful, anyone else? I mean, we can’t be the only ones. I have been searching for something that would be filling for my kids, healthy to help their bodies be the best they can be, and that they would actually eat. I have eaten these overnight oats for years and never thought to have my kids eat them too…I don’t know why that didn’t cross my mind…Lettie is always sneaking mine and eating them.
I started meal prepping my breakfasts and let my kids help me. They asked if they could have their own oats and it was a big “ah ha” moment for me! Why in the world wouldn’t I feed them the same breakfast that I eat to help my body get protein first thing in the morning? The Greek yogurt in these adds so much protein to start the day off with something fueling for your body. Our favorite Greek yogurt is the FAGE Total 0% Plain because of its rich, creamy, and delicious taste plus it is all natural which is something that really matters to me. We just snag it at our local grocery store with our grocery pickup. I let them choose their own fruit to go on top and they think it is the best thing ever. It is a much bigger mess to make them with my kids but something that they love because they get to be a part.
We love FAGE Total Plain because it comes in the big tubs so we can just buy a couple of those a week instead of a bunch of small containers of yogurt. I love that these are prepped, ready, and in the fridge for mornings when we have time to sit and eat breakfast together and chat but also for the mornings that we are running late and need to grab something as we are running out the door to school. Make sure to visit FAGE’s website to find it near you!
