Tips & Tricks to Preparing Your Kids Clothes for the Week

Over the past year or so I have been working hard to put systems in place that will make my every day life move a little bit smoother. These are things that I can prep at the beginning of the week to make our mornings run smoother every day. I have shared how I prep my kids clothes briefly on my site before, but wanted to go a little bit more in depth because it truly is life changing in the difference it makes in our mornings. 

Every Monday I go to both of my kids closets and get out 8 outfits for the coming week. One for each day of the week and two for Sunday a church outfit and then an outfit to wear after church. Each outfit goes on its own hanger in their closet. Every morning I send King down to his room and he grabs the hanger of clothes he wants to wear for the day with a pair of socks and brings it upstairs to get dressed. This gives him the choice of what he wants to wear but also allows me to have a say in what matches and goes on each hanger.

Each hanger has the following:

Pants
Shirt
Underwear
Bow (Lettie)

The only thing that has to be grabbed for either one of my littles is undies or a diaper + socks. Then we only have to do is their hair! It has made our mornings go so much quicker and let’s King be a lot more independent because he gets to pick which hanger of clothes he is going to wear & go and grab it from his closet on his own. 

One recent change that I have made that has been GAME CHANGING is to get all of our church clothes out on Mondays for the next Sunday and to iron and spray them. Then when Sunday comes along all of our clothes are all ready to go and ironed.
