Lettie’s Morning Routine & How It Makes A Difference with Her Health
Little Lettie’s morning routine is something that I get asked about quite frequently. It is something that we keep pretty simple, but it is also really important to us to keep some things the exact same every day. Routines are something that I personally thrive off of, and I love to know what is happening, what/when I am going to be able to check something off my list, and to be able to plan around the things that are really important to me—like Gerber® Probiotic Drops!
Routines for my littles are something that I have learned, if we stick to them, my littles are so much happier, have better days, sleep better, and they also are healthier. A few things in Lettie’s routine really play a major part in her health and keeping her as healthy as I can.
I have a few tips when it comes to implementing a routine or something new to your routine for yourself or your kids.
1 – The time isn’t as big of a deal as doing things in a certain order.
2 – If you want to add something new, place it with a “trigger” or something you are already doing and it will make it easier for you to remember.
3 – Give yourself grace! It doesn’t have to be exact perfection; just try your best and everything will work out!
Here is a little bit of our routine:
Lettie wakes up & I take her out of her sleep sack. I change her bum & get her dressed. Next, I always give her a probiotic and I have paired it with changing her bum in the morning so I won’t forget. Giving it to her in her room while I am already in the “mode” of taking care of her needs, like diaper changes and getting dressed, makes it so much easier to remember.
Going through nursing school, I feel like I learned so many different things that have helped me to keep my littles healthier. Things that are simple but most don’t know make such a huge difference. One major thing that is always in our routine is a probiotic. Lettie had really bad reflux when she was little and after talking to our pediatrician, he said to start a probiotic ASAP and to watch the changes. I started using Gerber® Probiotic Drops and was amazed at the difference that it made in her reflux. I also was quickly reminded of the difference that probiotics make in everyone’s (including adults) health. Gut health is so important, not just for keeping everything “how it should be” but also to help with absorbing your foods properly. Plus, when Lettie is happy and comfortable, I’m happy!
I went with Gerber® Soothe Probiotic Drops because, first off, it was super easy to snag shopping in-store at Walmart. It was also the probiotic that my pediatrician recommended. Being able to get the probiotic when I was already picking up my groceries was game changing because it made it easy for me to remember to get & I didn’t have to go out of my way to grab it. You even can make sure you earn $5.00 Cash Back on Ibotta on one (1) Gerber Probiotic Drops!
After she gets her probiotic, I nurse her. I know this time will come to an end sooner than I hope for, which is another reason why I give Lettie her probiotic after I change her diaper. I will be changing her diaper in the morning for a long time, so it will keep the two things together.
After she nurses, we go out to the kitchen and eat breakfast with King. After King eats breakfast, we head off to take him to preschool. Lettie will generally go down for a nap when we get back until we go to pick him up!
As you can see, our morning routine with her isn’t anything crazy—but it does tie the things that are important to me in her routine together so I can always remember.
I would love to know if you have a routine with your littles in the morning and if it includes a probiotic. If it doesn’t, I highly recommend giving your littles one Gerber® Probiotic Drops and snagging them when you are already shopping at Walmart!
