3 Beach Hairstyles Everyone Needs
I think we are all dreaming of warmer weather and sunny weather. Ever since I went to Hawaii and to California I can’t stop dreaming of the beach and am already planning our next trip back. I love laying in the sun all day and wanted to make sure that I am going to be protecting my hair while enjoying the beach.
Beach hairstyles are one of my favorites, I feel like they are something that also can be worn in everyday life, at the pool, or so many other places. I think one of the biggest tips of beach hairstyles is to make sure that your hair is in a good healthy state. You don’t want to be putting your hair in ponytails or elastics if you have some damage to it already or breakage. Using products that will help to nourish/moisturize your hair and keep it healthy are key. So, first off let’s chat about what products that you can use to prep your hair for a beach trip or the summer months.
A lot of us have damage to our hair, it is just a part of life and doing your hair right? Having a product that you can turn to when your hair is damaged to help repair it or to help prevent damage when you have healed it and made it healthy is something super important. I love using the Suave Professionals Gold Line. They have so many different shampoos & conditioners based on what your hair needs are. My favorite and the one I always turn to is the Suave Professionals Gold Coconut Oil Infusion. I love that it repairs my damaged hair and has visible damage repair in just three washes. I recently talked on Instagram Stories about my hair breaking off from putting it in pony tails on the top of my head over and over, and this shampoo & conditioner has been game changing to the health of my hair. It is infused with pure coconut oil which is amazing and it has such beautiful ingredients that you have to try to be able to believe. Coconut oil is so good for moisturizing your hair and repairing damage, it was something that I used alone before finding the Suave Professionals Gold Coconut Oil Infusion products. I truly love this product and challenge you to snag some at your local Walmart to see the changes it can make to your hair.
(You can snag it online or in stores & it is on Rollback right now for $1.00 off 28 oz. Suave Hair Shampoo & Conditioner! The regular price is $4.98 and Rollback price is $3.98)
Let’s chat about hairstyles that you can wear when you are out in the sun all day to keep your hair pulled back or out of your face while still looking cute & put together. I have been really taking in the coconut scent of my Suave Professionals Gold Coconut Oil Infusion Shampoo & Conditioner while dreaming of the beach and warmer weather while I’m washing my hair. I figured it would be fun to put together 3 hairstyle tutorials for you if you are headed somewhere where it is warm or to save for when it gets to be warmer weather where you live!
Dutch Braid Ponytail
1 – Pull a section of hair near your part that is about a half inch. Separate that section into 3 different sections.
2 – Dutch French braid your hair taking the outside section underneath the middle section of hair to put the braid on top. French braid until you get to near your ear.
3 – Braid to the end of your hair with a regular three strand braid. Holding the bottom of the braid gently tug on the outside sections of each loop of the braid to make the braid appear more full.
4 – Pull all of your hair to the nape of your neck and secure with an elastic.
5 – Finish off with the Suave hairspray!
Big Full Top Knot Hair Tutorial
1 – Start with dirty hair.
2 – Flip head upside down and gather hair at the top or crown of your head.
3 – Secure pony tail with an elastic.
4 – Tease ponytail with a pick or wide tooth comb.
5 – Twist hair around loosely to make a bun.
6 – Secure bun with a second elastic.
7 – Gently loosen hair under the bun to make the hair not so slicked back or tight to your head.
8 – Gently loosen hair at the front and sides the same as you did in the back to give it a more undone look.
9 – Finish off with Suave hairspray!
Topsy Tail Pigtails
1 – Create a part all the way down and secure one half of your hair in an elastic to keep it separate.
2 – Take a small section of hair near your part (about a half inch) and secure with an elastic.
3 – Right in front of the elastic split the hair to make a “hole”. Flip the pony tail toward your face and through the hole to make a topsy tail.
4 – Grab hair about an inch back from the first ponytail (including the tail from the previous ponytail) and secure with an elastic.
5 – Repeat step 3.
6 – Repeat steps until you get to the nape of your neck.
7 – Make a messy bun at the bottom by creating a pony tail but not pulling your hair all the way through the elastic before looping the elastic again. Secure with bobby pins if needed.
8 – Repeat on other side of head.
9 – Finish off with Suave hairspray!
I hope these tutorials are something that you can turn to when you are hitting the beach, pool, or just need your hair pulled back for a day of chasing your littles around or running errands. Remember the key to having a pretty style is to have healthy hair & my favorite way to have that is with Suave Professionals Gold Coconut Oil Infusion Shampoo & Conditioner!
