3 Things I Do Just For Me.

You hear it all the time, I think we all do…”Take time for yourself” right? Isn’t it something that is said pretty frequently? While I do agree with it, most days I don’t take time for myself because well honestly, it is the first thing to go when I have a busy schedule. I don’t take time to recharge myself with a bath, watch a show that I love, or even just sit in peace and quiet. I do however do 3 things every day/night that I have made a staple in my routine that help me to have even 30 seconds for myself and if that is all I get then I know that I am at least taking care of my skin, my mind, and my body.
1 – No matter where I am, the drive-through, tucked into bed at night, or a second early to an appointment I love to do a 3 minute (there is even a 1 minute if I am crazy busy) meditation. I use an app on my phone to guide me through it. I love that it helps to clear my mind, help me focus, and to take a breather when I have a lot going on. It is often times that when I need it most that I let it go first. I love that I can turn it on in my car or wherever I am and just take a second to recharge.
2 – Every night and every morning no matter how rushed I am I use Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. Most days I put it on in the living room so I can keep an eye on King and start his breakfast ha. This might sound dramatic, but it truly is like giving your skin a huge drink of water. 3 – Drink water. Keeping my body healthy has been something that I am really working on. Making sure that I am keeping myself hydrated has made a huge difference in my energy levels, how I overall feel, and everything in between. It is so crazy to me that something as simple as water can change the way that you feel so much. I try to keep a cup with water in it with me wherever I go so if I get thirsty I’m not tempted to snag a Diet Coke. Plus, I have noticed when I have water with me constantly I drink it way more than I would have ever thought I would! Winning right!?
I want to treat my body, skin, and mind well because I love them and am so grateful for what they do for me. The older I get I realize so much how important it is to take care of myself. I want to be there to chase my littles, have my skin be healthy, my mind be clear and crisp, and to be the best me that I can be. These three things are three things that have changed my life and I hope that they help you to feel better, look better, and have more confidence like they have for me!
