I think that a lot of us have really busy lifestyles. Whether it is the phase of life we are in running littles around to soccer, dance, choir practice, etc. or it is working a couple jobs it doesn’t matter our lifestyles are still really busy. I often am running to meetings, photoshoots, my nursing job, etc. and I don’t end up feeding myself as healthy as I should. It has been so hard for me to find healthier options to grab as I run out the door or as I am answering emails frantically during nap time.
I wanted to share with you 3 tips to keeping yourself healthier with a busy lifestyle because, let’s be honest, I need the reminder.
1. Keep a water bottle with you. I don’t love water plain, so I often end up putting a little flavoring in it. Drinking water is so important and having it in a water bottle really helps to have it with you all the time to be sipping on or drinking throughout the day. I am the worst at drinking water and need to be better. I feel a big difference in my health and energy when I have been drinking enough water.
2. Park far away from where you are going. I know you’re in a hurry, but that just means that you can walk farther at a brisker pace. Working out everyday even if it is just walking is something that our bodies need. Even if it is a quick workout at home before bed or when you wake up in the morning, making sure you’re getting exercise is a must. My body is something I am so grateful for my body and all that it does for me so working out is just me taking care of it and thanking it for what it does for me every day as silly as that may sound.
3. Fuel your body with veggies! Eating healthy is important to have your body fueled for what you need to do throughout the day.
