I often times feel like as a mama we spend so much time making sure that we are taking care of our littles & family that we often times forget to take care of ourselves too. I have had to really realize that if my cup isn’t filled then I can’t take care of the people that I love most to the best of my ability.
Most times I am not able to have time away from my littles to take care of myself, so I have found a few things that help me take care of me while still being a mama to my littles. These things are some things that I am adding to my goals for the New Year’s goals. My goals this year personally are to make sure that I am taken care of and to add things to my routine that will truly make me happier.
3 Tips to Take Care Of Yourself This Year
1 – This one is big for me but it is to get ready for the day. It doesn’t matter if that is changing out of my pajamas into a sweat outfit and putting my hair in a top knot or getting fully ready with curling my hair and doing a full face of makeup. I am so much more productive when I am ready and I feel like it makes me a happier person too.
2 – Whiten my teeth while I am playing with my littles. I love using Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips because they whiten my teeth in just 30 minutes. I try really hard to wake up before my littles to get it done, but recently it has been really hard to do that so going down with them and setting up toys for them to play with while I exercise works too.
Making sure that you are taking care of you and filling up your own cup is something that I can’t stress enough. It is something that I haven’t always been very good at but when I do make sure that it is getting done I notice the difference in my mood, how quickly things set me off, and how productive I am. Most times I feel selfish taking the time and doing things for myself, but I have had to realize that taking care of myself so I can take care of the ones I love to my best ability is nothing selfish at all.
