4 Wedding Looks Worth Remembering
4 Wedding Looks Worth Remembering
By Rachel- Singer22
You’ve likely envisioned yourself in some type of wedding dress since you were a little girl or, at the very least, an angsty teen. Be it fairy princess, beach goddess, or pinup bombshell, variations on the white dress have perhaps occupied your dreams for years and, now that you’re sporting that shiny ring, every waking hour. Though your wedding dress is undoubtedly the garment you spend the most time picking out, it isn’t the only dressy fashion consideration for your upcoming nuptials.
The Bachelorette Party
This outfit can take a variety of forms, depending on your kind of party. For a girl’s weekend in California wine country, you’ll want to dress elegantly. Consider a slightly bohemian look that combines comfort and fashion for a statement-making farewell to being single. Think Nicole Riche or the Olsen Twins, and remember flat shoes in case you’re walking around.
For a wild night in Vegas, you’ll most likely want to go tighter and shorter. The Parker line at Singer 22 has a variety of dress options that range from strapless to A-line to 100% covered in sequins, so there’s something for every personality and body type.
The Bridal Shower
Because your future in laws and sweet grandmother will likely be represented at the bridal shower, its best to keep it modest—which isn’t to say that you can’t have fun. Choose a dress with a fun pattern that falls just above the knees for a look that will be feminine and casual.
Many future brides like to wear white, as they will on their wedding day. Embrace this—but choose a white dress with a subtle print or colorful accessories to stand out as you’re showered with love.
The Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner
The night of the rehearsal dinner, you’ll likely be stressed out. The wedding is almost here, but you’ve got friends and family all eager to wish you a happy life at the same time—a bit overwhelming. Choose an outfit that will keep you happy. This might mean comfort, glam, or effortless style.
Of course, you can’t go wrong with a simple, flowy dress paired with wedge heels and a blazer, a look that always strikes the right balance between simple, sophisticated, and professional.
Get Away Day
If you’ve made it this far, you’ve survived the wedding! Hopefully, you’re boarding a plane to relax with your new spouse somewhere warm. Just because you’re traveling, doesn’t mean you have to forgo fashion, especially because you’ve probably still got great hair and skin from all of your wedding beauty prep. Find an outfit that allows you to build layers, since airports are always cold and you’ll be changing climates.
Boyfriend jeans and a loose top make you look put together, won’t wrinkle, and provide a nice base from which to build an outfit. Bonus—wearing jeans will mean they’re taking up less space in your suitcase.
