5 Of the Best Products for Hair Extensions
I am not a hair professional, these are just things that I have found work for me.
I think that a lot more people than we think wear extensions, have used them in the past, or are dying to try them. They are what I wear to make my hair look thicker, hold a curl for longer, and honestly less maintenance. Extensions can be tricky to care for if you don’t know the right products to use and the right steps to take care of them. The better you take care of them the longer they last you which equals to saving money.
I want to share with you my 5 of the best products for hair extensions, or really any hair to keep it smooth, healthy, and beautiful!
|| LOMA NOURISHING SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER ||
My stylist recently had me start using this and it has been literally game changing to my extensions. I was going through my extensions tangling some and them being really dry/static filled. I chatted with her about it and she said she had a new shampoo and conditioner that would change my life and it literally has. I haven’t looked back and even love it so much that I have a back up in my linen closet so I never have to go without it. It is game changing for sure.
I have been using this product for years!! I love that it makes brushing my hair after I shower so easy and detangles my hair. A little bit of this goes a long way. I can notice a huge difference when I don’t use this vs when I do. I immediately know that I forgot to spray it within my first brush stroke. I feel like it is fairly affordable and it will literally change your hair game.
I get super tangled hair when I get out of the shower… Anyone else?? I feel like if I use a regular brush it rips out all of my hair and a pick just doesn’t get all the tangles out. The Wet Brush is amazing. It has soft plastic bristles that bend with the tangles of your hair so it doesn’t rip it out and it easily gets the tangles out. This hair is 100% safe to use on wet hair unlike any other brushes. I use this not only when I shower, but literally every time I brush my hair. I don’t even own another brush. The softer bristles make it so it is a lot more gentle on your extensions.

I don’t use this product when my extensions are new, they just don’t need it. However after a few months I start to incorporate this when I get out of the shower with the Amika Wizard. This is a thicker consistency, it reminds me of the days of Bio Silk (anyone else remember that!?). It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all and helps to make sure that there isn’t any static to it.
Sleeping with your hair in a high pony tail at night is game changing. It helps to keep heat off of it because you won’t curl it so frequently and helps it to not have breakage happen while you are asleep rolling around. I flip my head over every night before I go to sleep and loosely put a scrunchie in. Then when I lay down on my pillow, I throw my pony tail over top of my pillow so I am not laying on it. When I wake up in the morning I just pull the scrunchie out and touch up anything that needs a little help and it works wonders!!
