5 Fall Colors You Need In Your Closet

Fall is upon us and I am pretty excited about it. We are crossing our finger to get grass at our house this week (hopefully today or tomorrow) so I can’t wait for the weather to cool down a little bit and to be able to play outside with my littles. I am starting to prep my closet for fall, going through old pieces, and snagging some new things. While going through my closet I loved to notice the color patterns that I draw to for different seasons. Summer time I tend to steer toward whites and denims, then also bright colors. I noticed 5 colors that I am loving for fall and I’m excited to share them with you!

I don’t think that many people think of blush when they think of fall colors. I truly feel like blush could be a neutral, if I were in charge it would be! I love that it is still a pretty pink, but also muted down. It is perfect for pairing in your fall wardrobe with cognac, black, creams, and even maroon/plums! I love that it is an unexpected color to be wearing in fall, but so beautiful and fits fall perfectly.

When I think of fall this and mustard (which is the next color) are what come to mind first. I love a good plum or maroon. It is such a deep stunning color that I only wear in the fall and winter so I am always excited to pull it out of my closet. I also love to wear plums and maroons on my lips, eyeshadows, and booties! I love that you can pull this color in so many different ways to have the fall vibe that you are looking for.

Mustard is a fall staple if you ask me. It is the prettiest color. I love to pair mustard with tans & cognac. It makes the pretties rick palette in an outfit. A mustard cardigan is the perfect piece to layer over neutral color tops or sweaters. I also love wearing a mustard top or sweater with some jeans and cognac booties! Mustard is a color you can find at just about any store in different tops whether they be full mustard or have mustard details to them.

I think this is my favorite color! I am obsessed with cognac anymore and it seems to be the thing I can’t stop buying. I love that it pairs so effortlessly and easily with just about everything. It is such a pretty color that you can wear any season but for some reason it suits fall. If you are wanting to add a camel or cognac color to your closet that you will wear over and over again, I would invest in a pair of booties or a good belt! They will pair with everything in your closet!

Neutrals are key to a closet that can mix and match. They are something that can pair together or with any other color. I love snagging and investing in a good neutral cardigan that I know I will wear time and time again. Jackets are something else that if I am going to buy one I love to get a neutral color because I know it will get it’s wear out of it. When thinking neutrals think tans, creams, white, black, leopard, grey. These are colors that can go with just about any other color and can pair together perfectly!
