5 Reasons You Should Already Start Your Holiday Shopping

I can’t believe that it is already that time of the year. I am almost done with my holiday shopping and love to be an early shopper. I start thinking about what I would love to get my loved ones around back to school and then watch sales and such to snag things or if I don’t know what I want to get them it gives me time to really focus when I am shopping on things that I think they will like and keep them on the front of my brain. 

I think that everyone has their own reasons when they like to start their holiday shopping and I am going to share with you 5 reasons why I love to get my holiday shopping started and done early!

1 – All the money doesn’t come out of my account at once! It is so nice to be able to purchase gifts here and there and have them all come out of my bank account at different times. I find that when I wait until the last minute then everything is coming out of my account at once and it leaves me feeling depleted and overwhelmed. 

2 – I can really think about the person for awhile. I love that I have plenty of time to watch for new products that I think my loved ones will love. A lot of small shop companies will come out with new products near the holidays and I love watching for them and snagging it as soon as it comes out for the person that I am thinking about. 

3 – I can watch for sales! This one is big for me! I feel like a lot of the big good sales are now happening before Black Friday and even before the holidays start to prepare the inventory for the holidays. If I have an idea of what I want to get someone for the holidays then I can watch for it to go on sale too!

4 – Things aren’t sold out yet! Remember the hatchanimal craze last year? The people that started early had a lot of time to snag them ahead of time. My husband actually bought a few fingerlings on Amazon a few months ago this year because they are supposed to be the toy of the season… I’m not sure about that? I also love to get handmade gifts so ordering them early makes it so I know they will be done before the holidays and that I won’t miss my window of ordering.

5 – I get to sit back, relax, and really enjoy the holidays without the craziness of snagging gifts. It gives me plenty of time to take my time wrapping gifts and really spend the holidays with my family. 

I hope this helps you! I have loved getting my holiday shopping done early. The first year I did it early was because I was due with King on December 23rd (I had him the 16th) and so I wanted to not be pregnant or with a newborn and last minute shopping and I have never looked back!
