5 Tips & Tricks to Making Your Curls Last Longer
Let’s be honest, who really has time to curl their hair every single day? I sure as heck don’t. I have learned how to make my curls last for 6-7 days depending on what I have going on and all of that. I will say that my hair extensions have a really big part in keeping my curls but there is some tips & tricks that help me with keeping my curls and I am so excited to share them all with you.
5 Tips to Make Your Curls Last Longer
1 – Curl your hair tighter initially then you want them to be. This allows them to have time to fall and last longer because they will start tighter if that makes sense. I curl my hair at night so that way it is looser in the morning, but if I need to wear it same day then I brush through them really good and they fall a little bit more. Trust me it is worth it to have tighter curls in the beginning.
2 – Wear your hair in a scrunchie on the top of your head when you sleep. This keeps the curls from underneath your head so that way you don’t smash them when you sleep. It also helps to keep the body in your hair too which I don’t think that anyone wants to have flat hair am I right?
3 – Use good products. When your curls start to stick together then use a dry texture spray. I love the spray from Navy Hair Care (use code DANI for 30% off), it is called Pebble Beach Dry Texture Spray and it is game changing to give your worn curls some life. I use it almost every day and especially if I do my hair in the morning and have somewhere to go that night, then I can liven up my hair with just a simple product.
4 – Use dry shampoo! I love love Living Proof dry shampoo. Spray it at night before you go to bed, then put your hair up in a scrunchie and you are set and ready to rock for the next morning. You will wake up with hair that looks clean & has body to it which is amazing!
5 – Don’t mess with your curls too much. The more you comb/brush through them the more they will fall. Learn to embrace the looser curls or the tighter curls. It will change your life I promise if you just learn to embrace them!!
I hope this helps you to make your curls last a little bit longer, I love wearing mine for days upon days because not only does it save me a ton of time but it also keeps heat damage off my hair too. I do curl my front bang pieces every day but besides that I don’t curl anything else. When my curls start to look really rough I end up pulling my hair into a pony tail or into a top knot and that gives me a few more days before I have to wash my hair again too!
