A FEW LIFE CHANGES.
This skirt is an absolute must in your closet. The fit of it around your natural waist is perfection. I love that it hits me at my most flattering spot on my stomach and let’s me eat all the extra donuts that I am wanting…

Do you remember when I wrote awhile ago about how I had said yes to way too many jobs, I didn’t feel like I was a good mom because I had too much others stuff on my plate, and I needed to take a step back? Well, those changes that have been in the works for a long time now are finally happening this week. I am so excited to share a little bit more about them with you and the changes that my life is taking.

I am still working as a nurse one day a week. I now do a 4 hour shift with my brother Matt (you can read his story here) and my mom kid swaps me and watches King. It is the perfect balance because I get to spend extra time with Matt, but I am still getting my nursing hours in and a little mommy break from King for a little bit. I took a step back from my 8 hour shifts every week and then my 4 hour shifts every other week when Matt was really sick in January. It was too hard for my sweet mom to have King and sick Matt at home by herself. I then went to just one 8 hour shift every other week and the alternating weeks I did a 4 hour shift. This worked okay for a while until Matt wasn’t getting any better and I didn’t feel good about leaving King with my mom for 8 hours while she had Matt by herself while my dad is traveling most of the time. The 4 hour shifts is the perfect balance because she never has King and Matt alone anymore so it is a lot easier for her to be able to take care of them each when she has them alone.

My last week of teaching dance was last week. It is such a bitter sweet thing. My blog is doing fairly well and I am starting to take it a lot more seriously it was the right decision for my family. Zach is also home on Tuesday nights (he is gone Wednesday and Thursday nights serving in our church) so it was another night a week that our family was a part. It was so hard to really only see Zach and have our family together on Monday, Friday, and Saturdays. This I think is the biggest change that I am excited for. I love the nights that we aren’t rushed to get out the door and we can spend time together and eat dinner without being in a hurry. This adds a full night a week that we can be together as a family.

These changes are so big and all have started this week with it being a new month and dance being over. I am so excited to find my new routine and schedule of life. I am adding more things to my schedule to take care of myself better like working out, meal planning, etc. and I am so excited to start implementing them. If you have any tips to meal planning or healthy recipes I would absolutely love if you send them my way.
Okay, now to this amazing outfit. This skirt is sheer perfection like I said above. It will change your entire life. I love that if I am wanting to I can wear it more dressed down with a fun graphic tee and some sneakers to give it a completely different look. This tee is a favorite of mine because of the way it can be dressed up with a skirt like this and heels, or dressed down with some distressed jeans and sneakers. These heels are a staple piece and I am so excited to tell you they are on sale. They are a shoe that you will have in your closet and wear time and time again. XX

Thank you so much sweet Abby. It is a favorite skirt of mine for sure!
Re-adjusting can be so hard sometimes so well done for biting the bullet and going for it!
Also, that skirt is gorgeous 🙂
