A Little Get To Know Us

I have had so many of you ask for an “about us” post that I didn’t really have a choice but to put one together. I figured I would do it a little bit different than a regular get to know us post and have me write about Zach and Zach write about me. I thought it would be a little bit more entertaining and Zach is a wild card so you never know what you’re going to get with him ha.

Zach is 33 years old and currently works as a Property Manager. He loves to play indoor soccer and can’t help himself when it comes to anything with sugar in it. Zach can make anything that you see on Pinterest. We use to joke that he needed shirts that said “craft-tastic” on them because he is so talented at making crafts. He is the sweetest man in the entire world and loves our kids more than anything. If our kids are somewhere with us you will always find Zach with King no matter if they are playing superheroes or if King is being disciplined. Zach just takes care of him when we are out and about. Zach and King are absolute best friends and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They love each other more than anything. Zach really holds the place down at our house. He takes care of so many things that I don’t even realize that need to be taken care of and makes sure that I am always taken care of. If I am frazzled or have a lot on my plate he manages me down to making sure that I have something to eat for breakfast, packing the diaper bag, having changes of clothes for our kids, and so much more. He is one of the hardest workers I have ever met, from putting in our yard all by himself down to staying late every night at work to make sure everything is finished. Zach is one of the most selfless people you will ever meet. He is always looking for opportunities to serve others and make sure they are taken care of. He will watch anyone’s kids, make dinner for people, put yards in for others, and so much more. He definitely is the better half in our marriage and I am so beyond grateful for him. 

Hi, my name is Dani. Not really, my name is Zach and I’m writing about Dani. So where to start with Dani… To begin, I used to be able to say she’s a diet coke addict, but now she’s not. For the past few months she’s been on a health kick. And I mean health kick. She’s waking up when it’s dark outside, stopped drinking diet coke, and only drinks water, yeah, water. We eat weird stuff for dinner now like salmon and brussel sprouts. She’s an awesome mom. Everyday, she keeps King from mauling Lettie to death. She’s the fun mom. Always ready to jump right in with King. She loves being a mom. Though some days I would find that debatable, (and I don’t envy you mothers, you all have such a hard job) but in general, she tolerates the tantrums and accidents, for the hugs, jokes, games, funny things King says, and lately especially the hugs Lettie gives. She also loves you, the reader. She loves to interact with those on her Instagram and here on her blog. She loves to hear of your successes and also about when you’re having a hard day. That’s probably one of her greatest traits, she’s loyal. You maybe have never met her, but if you’re in her pack, she’s fiercely loyal to you. She’s a bit shy, but if you ever see her, come say hi. 

King is almost 4 and I can’t believe it. He is a little boy with so much energy and never stops going. He is our adventure and our crazy. He is always up for an adventure and loves to play. He goes to preschool and loves it. He just learned to write his name and I am so proud of him. He loves his sister more than anything and his dad is is best friend in the entire world. 

Lettie is almost 6 months old and I can’t believe it. She is so chill and sweet. When she cries you know something is wrong because it doesn’t happen too often. She is my peace and my calm. She is so crazy tolerant of her over loving brother and loves to snuggle and love on mama.
