A Simple Way to Refresh Any Room
I have been on a little bit of a fritz in refreshing all the rooms in our home with Spring time being here now. I want every room to be updated a little bit, to feel fresh and new, and to be clean and uncluttered all while being pretty. I am a person who loves an organized room that is very clean and fresh feeling. I want everything to have a home and for the room to have a very simplistic look to it. Freshening up spaces is one of my favorite things because with only a few simple things you can make any space look fresh and updated.
Our homes are somewhere that we create memories with our families, they are a place that we spend the most time and bring the people that mean the most to us to. It is our sanctuary, safe place, and somewhere that holds our hearts. Creating a space that allows those memories by being uncluttered, feels fresh, and that you love helps you to be able to #bringhearthome.

Stage stores are doing an amazing program where you can share your #BringHeartHome moment to spread awareness for the importance of heart health. I’m sharing my #BringHeartHome moment below and challenge you to do the same to help Stage give back to the American Heart Association whether you are shopping in-store or online. Every post you share on social media from April 1st – 30th with #BringHeartHome, Stage will donate $1 to the American Heart Association. You can read more about the campaign here.
Let’s chat about a few simple ways that you can update & freshen up your space with only a few items.
1 – Adding Baskets
Baskets are something that I feel like you can never have enough of. They make a simple statement in a room adding different colors, textures, and sizes. I love that they have multiple uses as well, they can act as a “pot” for a plant, organize kids toys, store blankets, or be empty and just for looks. They look great on bookshelves, standing alone in a spot, or next to a couch or chair. Baskets are always my go to when I need to fill a shelf or a spot in a room that needs something.
2 – Plants
Plants are my all time favorite, I think that you know that by now. They add so much to a space so quickly. I love that they make a room feel so fresh and give so much texture to a room. Whether you put real plants in your room or faux plants, they are a simple thing you can do to a room that makes a huge impact. Zach has started to call me the crazy plant lady because of how many plants we have in our house. They are therapeutic in how they make a room feel and if you buy faux plants they also take zero maintenance too!
3 – Fresh Products
Add fresh products like fruit! They don’t have to be real, there are some really good faux ones out there now, but adding that alive, fresh element makes such a huge difference in the way your home feels. Add them to your baskets, in clear jars, etc. You will be amazed at the way it changes your space!
My #BringHeartHome story is bringing my babies home for the first time. My home is the place that I want them to feel safe and loved. It is where I have the responsibility to teach them, help them to be healthy, and watch them grow to be someone someday. When I walked through the door with my babies I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. Knowing that I had/have a community around me to help me raise these little humans means the world to me!
