We have been spring cleaning like crazy over here and happily packing away all of our winter clothes. I have loved pulling out all my spring clothes and re-finding piece that I was in love with last spring. A ton of my clothes are in storage, I don’t know why I thought it was a good idea to pack them all away…I guess I was secretly hoping we would be in our home by the time Spring hit even though I knew we wouldn’t be in until the end of May (which is now dreamful thinking). We have been looking for some new pieces to add to our wardrobe that are bright, happy, and bring a smile to your face when you think about spring.
We went to Old Navy because hello, affordable and functional clothes and snagged us both some new pieces. We both needed some new outfits to wear as dressy clothes to weddings and church on Sundays so that was what the hunt was for. I wanted bright and happy pieces that also were slightly unexpected. When I saw this dress for myself I knew it was a must. The bright colored happy flowers just shout spring time and I love the fit of it. It is the perfect dress to wear to church on Sundays (Easter dress!?) and to spring and summer time weddings or date nights. I paired it with my favorite go-to booties to dress it up a little bit, but some flats would be perfect too! This dress is under $30 which made me not even think about it when snagging it.
King is so fun to dress. His little white blonde hair makes me love dressing him in bright colors. He is all about all things Batman still and so I snagged these yellow pants to tell him that they are Batman pants which makes getting him dressed slightly easier for me. I wanted bright and happy so I went with this blue gingham shirt. I love that he can wear it dressed up like we did here, or we can put it over a graphic tee unbuttoned with skinny jeans for a preppy look on him. Plus, can we just all take a second for his darling stripe boat shoes…mmkay. Kings shirt is under $20 , his pants under $17 and his shoes under $20 .
What pieces are you loving for spring and summer time? Are you a floral girl like me? Or do you prefer solids and bright colors?
