All About Extensions.
Okay, so remember how a while ago I told you I was going to do a post all about extensions? Well here it is! It will totally be worth your wait!
Meet Whitney, the girl who has made all my wishes and dreams about gorgeous hair come true.
This is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am saying that in 100% honesty! I have always been insecure about my hair… I have really thin hair that doesn’t grow very quickly. I have always wanted long hair but my hair wasn’t wanting it for me. I have tried every kind of extensions in the book. Clip-in’s, beads, glue, clip-in’s beaded in, clip-in’s glued in, and now tape in’s. I first tried clip-in’s and wasn’t in love with them. I hated that I always had to put in them in and take them out. It was just a hassle. I then tried gluing in my clip-in’s and let’s just not even go there. AWFUL!! So then I tried beads. I absolutely loved my beads until I went to take them out. No joke I had bald spots all over my head where the beads were. It was awful and traumatizing! I swore to myself I would never do extensions again! Ha, then I started to wish I had long hair again. So I went back to clip in’s, about this time I was getting married. I didn’t want my extensions falling out so we beaded in my clip-in’s. They turned out pretty good, but they only lasted a week maybe a week in a half. I didn’t want to go get my hair done every other week so I stopped doing those. (umm… bipolar in the extension department maybe!?) I was done, until my amazing friend Whitney told me she was going to hair school and told me about tape extensions! Can I just say all my hair wishes and dreams came true the day I got these babies put in!
What they are is sections of real hair that is attached at the top. They each get tape put on the top of them and then are sandwiched around your regular hair. You can still pull your hair up, curl it, straighten it, anything!! They are simply amazing. When you feel my head you can’t even tell they are there. They lay flat against your scalp. I get them moved up about every 4-6 weeks so the maintenance isn’t too bad on them! It’s the same time frame for me as coloring my hair. They have made me so much more confident. They have changed the way that I look at myself. They are simply amazing! I mean come on! Just look at the before and after pictures! I joked with my husband the day I got them put in that I finally have my dream hair! (too bad I was 100% serious!) Zach loves them and totally can see a difference in the way I present myself.
Whitney is a licensed cosmetologist and is so careful with my hair. I have never ever worried for one second that my hair is going to be ruined or that I am going to walk out of there with bad extensions. Those extensions are beautiful!! Your hair looks totally natural and really good! It’s great that you finally found something that would work for you. I wore extensions once years ago and I hated the way it felt. They probably weren’t the right kind and I haven’t ever tried again.
looking at your posts, I have always loved your hair- happy for you that you found something that works!
I have been growing my hair out from chin length for 7 years with nothing more than a trim and my hair just wont grow. Its a couple inches past my shoulders. I would love to get extensions but I don’t live near you:/ I would love to see how confident I could feel with longer hair since I also have fine hair that thins at the ends. You’re hair is beautiful!

This might be a silly question, but how does the process of washing your hair work? Does the water mess with the tape at all? I use clip-ins regularly, but they are such a hassle and I find that they no longer match my hair colour after a couple of months (fading), so these tape extensions sound like a dream come true.
No it isn’t a silly question at all! The water doesn’t do anything to the tape 🙂 They just recommend not blow drying your hair all the time due to the heat 🙂 You definitely need some of these! Email Whitney and she will answer any other questions you have and give you the low-down!

Hi! For tape in extensions I have always used Babe brand and it is still my favorite! I wish they made wefts and it is what I still would buy!!
