Easter will be here before we know it. I know I have talked about Matt before with you, but something you probably didn’t know about him is that he legit thinks he works for superheroes. No joke. He spends his days texting his Superhero boss (I put his own number in his phone so he really texts himself… Genius I know), looking up maps to find the bad guys, figuring out what hours he has worked, and fighting the bad guys. He has notebooks and notebooks full of plans to get the bad guys and full of maps of where he thinks they are. He is pretty obsessed with them. He even works with one of his amazing nurses Patty. Patty and Matt play with superhero action figures and act out the “plans” that he makes during the day.
My mom watches King while I teach dance 2-3 nights a week for me, which makes Matt think that he is the babysitter. I love that Matt watches King. I love to do little gifts for my mom & Matt to let them know how much I appreciate them babysitting for me. When I saw this Avengers stuff at Walmart I knew that I could put together an Avengers Attack Pack for Matt for Easter. Perfection right! Most of the work was done for me with the water guns and disc shooter so I only had to snag a few more things to go in the amazing Avengers bucket. There was so many amazing things at Walmart in their Easter section that I was able to make a 2 sided Attack Pack for him. Amazing right?
I started thinking about what Matt’s favorite things were to get the bad guys so I quickly put together a Captain America Notebook & Folder so he could write down his plans, markers so he could color coordinate them, and his favorite pencils so he could write down the plans he had. I knew that if he had one notebook to keep all of his stuff in with a folder that it would make life easier for not only him, but my mom & nurse Patty too.
I headed over to my moms yesterday to drop off King and thought, you know what, I am going to give Matt his present now so that way he can be using it. I unloaded it out of the car and told him to close his eyes. He shut them so tight & had the biggest grin on his face while I grabbed his Attack Pack. I’m pretty sure that his face says it all in this picture.
He was so excited to have a Pack dedicated to just getting the bad guys. He immediately pulled out the disc shooter and the notebook & folder and got to “work” planning on how him and Patty would use the disc shooter to get the bad guys when they had to go on a “work trip” tonight to Argentina. (He picks places that his friends are currently serving LDS Missions).
I am saving the Easter eggs to give him on Easter with some quarters in them so he can buy some Diet Coke at school. I am so glad I found this amazing Avengers stuff at Walmart! It made an amazing Thank You Easter basket for Matt and to say he loved it would be an understatement!
