BEDSPREAD… MAKE IT OR BREAK IT.
I always am wanting to update a room, to change it up, add a little excitement. The only problem is that I don’t have a budget for that kind of stuff. Don’t we all wish we did though!? I love to find cheaper ways to update my rooms in my home without spending all the dollars in my wallet.
One way I have found that really changes things is BEDDING! Our bedroom was lacking color. I wanted a POP. Something exciting that when you walked in it would put a smile on your face… This is when I found this amazing duvet cover from Wayfair.
Below is the before picture of our room. My husband made our bed. Yes let me repeat that. He started from scratch and crafted this stunning upholstered headboard and sideboard. Amazing right!? When I first bought bedding 2 years ago when we got married, I was afraid of prints with the print of the headboard so I went with a neutral bedspread. I loved the ruffles because it added a little texture, but not so much that it took away from the headboard.
The grey bedspread lasted us awhile, but I was ready to spruce up my room and add some happiness! I absolutely love the pops of color this stunning striped duvet cover. I love that it isn’t too much with my headboard. It adds so much fun. And let me just stick a little plug in about the quality. This is MADE to ORDER! They make it when you order it. Like for reals. I can’t believe it still! It does take a little longer to get to you because of that, but the quality is impeccable! (I purchased the duvet separately on Amazon) I am a little disappointed with my duvet itself, but I wasn’t willing to spend a lot on it. Every night when I climb into bed I look at my husband and tell him how much I love this duvet cover and rave about the quality! He always gives me a look like you have told me this the past 2 weeks! I think I get it. Ha. The duvet cover has an amazing texture to it. It is almost a tweed feel. I love that the texture is an added bonus to the pop of color. As we all know, I love texture!
Another thing that I was really impressed with Wayfair is their customer service. I emailed them a few times checking on my order because I was so excited and they promptly responded with exact information so that I could know right where my duvet cover was. I had never shopped at Wayfair before, but man they got themselves a new customer for life!
What is your favorite/most frugal way to add some updates to your rooms in your home??
