BLOCKS. BLOCKS. BLOCKS.
The weather here in Utah has been absolutely awful. Before last weekend I don’t think we were able to see a blue sky or the sun in about a month no exaggeration. It has been super cold and just dreary nasty outside. We have been getting pretty creative in what we do inside to keep things different, fun and entertaining for not only King but me too. We have had many, many kitchen dance parties, made lots of treats, played tag, trains, but both of our favorite thing to play is blocks.
The thing about playing blocks is there is so many different things you can do with them, trust me we have come up with quite the list. We have made “tracks” to go around down stairs for King’s trains, built castles, towers to see who can knock down the others first, matched the different shape and colors, etc. The possibilities are truly endless. King wakes up every morning now asking if he can play blocks and loves to dump them on the floor, play blocks, eat breakfast, and watch Daniel Tiger. It has become our morning ritual at our house.
When I heard about Scraps Wood Blocks I knew I needed them for King. They are all made with scrap wood from a local lumber shop, non-toxic, and colored with food dye. They sand all the corners and edges so they are safe for your little ones to play with and aren’t chemically or pressure treated at all. I love this because knowing King, he is going to bite on the blocks while he plays with them, lick them, and everything in between. I love knowing that the thing that he plays with are truly safe for him.
The sun started to shine this past weekend so we took our blocks out to the back patio to play with and loved the fresh air, sunshine, and the sound of the breeze. I can’t wait until spring is here so we can play blocks on the back patio, sip some Diet Coke, and eat snacks all day long! How are you getting through the winter at your house?
