Can I Wear Sneakers with My Dress?

This week it is only supposed to get to 93 degrees where I live ha, so I think that my feet just might be able to tolerate sneakers with my dresses. Every time I wear a dress and sneakers you babes ask me how to know if you can wear sneakers with your dress. I’m excited to share with you a couple of things that I look for when pairing my sneakers with dresses and a few dresses that I love to wear sneakers with!

I think that one of the biggest things about wearing sneakers with dresses is to have confidence. If you don’t have confidence you won’t ever wear them and you will be able to tell that you feel uncomfortable when you do wear them. I think we all know the girl that we see at the grocery store that might not necessarily match or be wearing pretty eccentric clothing, BUT she rocks it with complete confidence and that is what makes you think “dang she is awesome”. You need to have that confidence and if you don’t have it fake it. I promise that it isn’t necessarily the sneakers with the dress that matters, it is the way you present yourself and feel about yourself in wearing them!

Here are a few tips and tricks to pairing sneakers with your dress:

1 – Cotton dresses are the easiest to pair sneakers with. They are generally a more casual dress which makes pairing it with some sneakers simple and easy.

2 – If you are wearing a patterned dress go for a solid color sneaker. Don’t go for something too crazy unless you are confident in wearing sneakers with your dress. 

3 – When in doubt wear a neutral colored sneaker. I felt bold here and was wearing a white dress so pairing bright blue sneakers with it wasn’t a big deal. However, generally I wear a tan, black, or white pair of sneakers with my dresses.
