So the other day I am strolling down the amazing aisles at Target and I happen down the delicious snack & cookie aisle. As I am throwing all the delicious junk food in to my cart I stopped dead in my tracks. There are new Cheez-Its out my friends. Can you believe it? The delicious snack that I indulge while watching my favorite reality TV shows is now in new flavors and in either Cheez-It Grooves or Cheez-It Crunched. Could you die. As I sat there looking at them I told myself I could only try 1 new flavor and that next time I could try another one another day (this girl needs a little self control… especially when it comes to Cheez-It). I decided to try the Cheez-It Grooves in the Zesty Cheddar Ranch and of course I had to grab my Cheez-It Snack Mix to eat while I watched the season premier of the Kardashians last night. There was even a Cartwheel Coupon for them. Perfection right? Cheez-It are on sale at Target for 3/$8 and then with your Cartwheel Coupon you get an additional 35% off! That means that you can now indulge in every flavor for such an amazing price!
Well, you see, I got home from Target where I spent way too much time at so I didn’t get dinner in the crockpot and was deciding what to make. That is when it dawned on me that I could make the most delicious dinner to date by using my Cheez-It Grooves Zesty Cheddar Ranch! Umm how about Cheez-Its encrusted chicken strips! Genius right!? So I got to creating.
You will need, flour, Cheez-It Grooves, Pepper, Eggs, Season Salt, and Milk. (There are no exact measurements, use the pepper and season salt to taste and the flour, egg, and milk are for dipping your chicken in before the breading).
I first started with blending up the Cheez-It Grooves so I could use them as a breading on my chicken. I blended them up so they were still course and the Grooves would still keep that delicious Zesty Ranch flavor locked up in them.
Next, dip your chicken in the flour, after the flour mixture it will go into the egg/milk mixture. We just used a splash of milk and 2 eggs. This amount will vary for how many chicken strips you would like to make. After the milk & egg mixture, encrust your chicken in the Cheez-It Grooves. We then placed oil on the stove in a skillet, wait until it is hot and then place your chicken strip in the oil. Turn over the chicken strip once it is golden brown for the other side to fully brown. Make sure to check the middle of your chicken before serving so that way it is good and cooked.
Lastly, plate these bad boys up for your favorite basketball games. These are perfect to eat while watching your favorite game, a night with friends, or even just dinner with the ones you love!
You can also head over and enter the Most Valuable Cheese Contest where you get to vote on your favorite flavors/varieties from six popular Cheez-It flavors and play some fun games for a chance to win $10,000! I mean who doesn’t want that kind of extra cash!? The contest goes from Feb-April 2015.
ENJOY! XO

I can’t wait for the games to get started! I just filled out my brackets this morning, and now I need to start planning out all of my gametime snacks. I’m pretty sure these chicken strips need to make at least one appearance…maybe more! #client
