A MAMA’S DREAM TO SHOPPING.
I feel like as soon as I became a mom my time that I was able to look for deals for things online went away. I don’t have time to search the internet for the best deal anymore, send things to my friends to help me make decisions, and make idea boards of how I want rooms in my home or my newest top to be styled. All those things were things that I loved to do before I had sweet King, but I don’t have time for anymore. I wish I did. I miss that creative outlet that it gave me. I have really been missing it with building our new home.
My sweet friend and photographer Kelsie is also an interior designer so we have started to put together what my new home will look like room by room. We haven’t had time to screen shot each piece, lay it out on an idea board, send it to each other, let alone look for an amazing deal on the piece. Well, we didn’t have time for it, until I started using Countr and now we do. Countr is a website, a one stop shop where you are able to build boards with items you are loving, swapp items with other Countr users or friends, which all in turn gives you personalized discounts and deals! You basically are rewarded for shopping, which who doesn’t think that is amazing!? Kelsie and I have started many different boards that we are so excited about. We have a board where I put everything I am loving for my new home, I have a board for my closet wish list, one for King, and the list goes on and on.
Countr is easy to use, clean, and simple. It allows you to see everything at once to put together looks from your closet or pieces for a room that you are decorating. I love that it tells me when things are on sale so I can keep everything that I am wanting to purchase but waiting for a deal together.
We have started to pick pieces for my living room and I am so excited. We are doing modern mid century and it is going to be absolutely beautiful (well I hope ha). I can’t visualize things very well so sweet Kelsie will tell me things and I have to have her add them to my Countr board so I can see everything together. We seriously chat all day on their website. Decorating a home, let alone one that isn’t built yet, is so hard. It is so hard for me to visualize what everything is going to look like all put together, but now I can see it all together in front of me. We have put together our living room and our master bedroom boards of inspiration already and are slowly working on the rest of our home. I am obsessed with this bookcase and this tv stand for our living room and I could die over this purple velvet bed.
What tips do you have for me with decorating a new home? Any pieces that you love that are modern mid-century? I can’t wait to hear what you are loving. Come find me on Countr and you can get a sneak peek of what our living room is going to look like!
