BLACK FRIDAY STRATEGIES.
Oh how I love Black Friday. It is a year I look forward to every year. While I am not happy it has turned into Thanksgiving Day shopping, I still love the rush of it all.
Here are my favorite parts of Black Friday…
-researching ad’s for weeks (did you know some stores already have theirs out!?)
-making list after list with adding and taking items off
-starting fresh lists on Thanksgiving morning while watching the parade
-finding things in ad’s that I never thought I needed that I now am fighting a million people for
-spending the time with family (me, my mom, and aunt go every single year since I can remember)
-watching people go absolutely crazy over saving a dollar or two
-freezing waiting in line at Target
-heading to the mall and shopping our favorite stores (American Eagle, Victoria’s Secret, Down East, etc.)
-staying up all night and into the next day!
One of my favorite Black Friday’s was the year Zach and I were going to get married that December. I somehow talked him into going with us. We had our eyes and hearts set on this sheet set at Walmart (yes sheets, hilarious right). I sent Zach for the sheets while I went to get the griddle and waffle iron. He came over to me a little while after and was ticked. You could see it in his eyes. I asked him if he snagged the sheets and he told me that he was battled by a bunch of women and that he was defeated. He had lost. Oh how I laughed! Seriously a moment that I will never forget. I constantly remind Zach of the day that he lost a sheet set to a bunch of crazy women!
I think that my favorite/best purchase that I have ever made would be some T.V.’s we got at Best Buy last year. While I don’t have a good story to go behind them, they were such a good deal! We got a 28″ T.V. for only $99! Seriously we were so excited. The T.V. is in our kitchen and we use it daily. I think that my favorite part of it is that we didn’t have to fight for it. My dad is a Best Buy Rewards Member and he got to shop the deals early last year so it was delivered to our porch the day after Black Friday. amazing right!?
This year our strategy has changed… We will be on the hunt for baby stuff! While I’m not even sure if they put baby stuff on sale for Black Friday, that is all that is on our mind this year… or atleast until I look at the ad’s a million times and add a million more things! I am so excited to watch Coupons.com this year to get better deals and to see them a little bit more organized then my crazy ad methods. They are just as excited about Black Friday as I am and are doing a Black Friday Sweepstakes! You can enter starting today 11/12 to win $10,000 and other prizes instantly! You better believe that I will be entering! I mean what’s to loose!?
So are you ready!? Do you have your Black Friday strategies?? I will be reading up on Black Friday articles on The Good Stuff to gain some new strategies, because let’s be honest, I’m not going to be able to crawl under racks or squeeze through carts with this baby bump!
What strategies do you use when you shop?? Do you even Black Friday shop or is it just for crazies?? Where is your favorite store to shop??
