I am so beyond thrilled for Easter this year. King is starting to understand holidays and all of that and it is making everything even more magical. I can’t wait for another fun holiday with my sweet boy. I am trying to start traditions for our little family and this year we are going to do “Easter Bunny Bait” and take it to all of our neighbors and friends. It is such a fun and easy recipe that is absolutely perfect to make with your family. We love to do service around each holiday and so this is the perfect treat for friends and family.
We recently went to Sam’s Club and King was being so good that I had time to browse the aisles and loved getting to see all of their fun Easter treats. We snagged M&M’s® Plain, M&M’s® Peanut, & my favorite Spring Minis Mix. We brought home all this yummy goodness home and while King napped I made some yummy treats for our sweet friends. (Full Recipe at bottom of the post)
First off snag all of your ingredients. You will need chocolate chips, Chex cereal, Vanilla, powder sugar, peanut butter, pretzels, your favorite M&M’s® Pastel (we love the cute pastel colors that are at Sam’s Club), M&M’s® Peanut, Spring Minis Mix, a cube of butter, and melting chips in your favorite spring colors.
Gather your ingredients and in a large microwave safe bowl, melt together your butter, peanut butter, vanilla, and chocolate chips. Stir well every 30 seconds until fully melted. After it is fully melted, in a large bowl or we love to use a gallon baggie, put your Chex cereal, melted chocolate mixture from the microwave and shake well. After the cereal is all coated, pour the powder sugar in the baggie or bowl and mix until cereal is covered. After it is all fully covered, pour out on a baking sheet.
Melt your melting chocolates and drizzle them over your treat. I chose to do turquoise and spring for spring! After your drizzle it with your melted chocolate, add your M&M’s® Pastel, broken up pretzels, and you can even cut up some of your Spring Minis Mix and put those on there too! Yumm! Let the chocolate harden and enjoy!
Now for my favorite part, the packaging! You will need a fun colored patterned paper bag, tags (free download here!), cardstock paper, ribbon, and scissors!
First, print out your tags, and cut them out in the triangles. Next, back them with whatever color cardstock paper you would like. Take your cute paper bag and fold the top over about an inch to an inch and a half. Punch two holes about a half inch to an inch apart. Fill your bag up with your treats! Yumm! Punch a hole in the top of tag, tie with your favorite ribbon! Easy peasy right!?
Now, take your sweet little family or go by yourself and deliver them to your friends and family! They are going to love your delicious treat! Happy Monday babes! XX
