Valentines Day is over and now it is time to think about EASTER!! I am so excited for Easter. I love all the fun treats, pastel colors, WARMER WEATHER, bunny coming, Easter baskets, etc. Holidays are just my favorite and I am so grateful that we have them to add a little fun and happiness through out the year. I am excited to share with you this fun Easter Bunny Bark that I made this past weekend. Our Easter Bunny that comes is a girl, so we wanted to leave a fun little treat out for her and make a basket for her as a little surprise for coming and giving us a visit. Sooo, on to the yummy recipe and tutorial to put your bunny bark together and in your basket for your bunny!
***Printable recipe is at the bottom of the post with all the ingredients and everything***
First, start by lining your pan with aluminum foil. This will let the bark come out easier after the chocolate hardens again.
Melt all of your chocolate. You will want it all melted at the same time so it doesn’t harden while you wait for the next one to melt before pouring them in your pan. Then pour what you want your base color to be in the pan and spread it around the pan. You don’t have to get it to all the edges, if you want your bark thicker, then don’t spread the chocolate out as far 🙂
Next, drizzle the first swirl color through the pan. After it is drizzled, take a fork and “swirl” it around to create a marbled effect. Simple right?
Now you will take your second swirl color if you choose to have one, and drizzle then swirl it also. I love that this makes the bark more fun and pulls in the perfect pastel coloring to it to match the yummy M&M’s® Easter Sundae that will go in next!
Now add your M&M’s® Easter Sundae and pretzels to the top of it. You can add whatever treats you would like, just make sure to add them all while the chocolate is melted. We think that Starburst Strawberry and Original Jellybeans would be so yummy in there too! The possibilities are really endless in what treats you put in it. Now you can put it in the freezer if you choose or you can wait for the chocolate to harden.
Now let’s put together the basket for the Easter Bunny that our bunny bark will go in! I think that the Easter Bunny is going to love a fun surprise when she comes the night before Easter!
Supplies: (You can find everything at your local Walmart!)
Starburst® Strawberry and Original Jellybeans
M&M’s® Easter Sundae
Lip Gloss or Chapstick
Notebook
Acrylic Container – Found in the cosmetics
Bright colored pens
Bunny Bark!
Place your notebook and pens in the center, now pour Starburst® Strawberry and Original Jellybeans into the outside bins. Place the chapstick & lip gloss in one side and leave the other side open for the yummy bunny bark when it hardens.
Place your bunny bark in the end bin and you have the perfect treat for the Easter Bunny! You could even add in more treats if you would like! How cute would a DOVE® Milk Chocolate Easter Bunny be in there, Easter mixed brand chocolates, or Easter M&M’s® Milk Chocolate!? She is going to love to be able to write down how amazing her basket is so she can bring you the perfect basket and treats next year. Happy Easter loves!!
