My System To Keeping Track of Life with My Planner
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Erin Condren. The opinions and text are all mine.
Running a full time business from home, working as a pediatric nurse, being a mom, managing doctors appointments, business meetings, hair appointments, deadlines, blog posts, etc. is something that if I am not organized gets out of hand really quick. I swear if I forget to write even just one simple thing down then the rest of the day and possibly week are now insane. Keeping everything written down, color coded, and writing to-do lists is a must for me. I have tried a lot of different systems, but have found one that really works for me, my lifestyle, and keeping everything organized. I am excited to share a few tips and tricks to keeping your life organized that have worked for me and my planner system.
1 – We sit down every Sunday night and go over our schedule for the week. We both (Zach and I) go over what we have for the week individually, as a family, and with extended family. This helps us to know when each other needs help, what we have planned, and where we all need to be. This has been a game changer for us with having so much going on in our lives to know when each other needs us to be watching King while the other one has something.
2 – Find a planner/notebook system that works for you. I use Erin Condren and absolutely love it. I love that I was able to personalize my planner to the system that works best for me. I have my days laid out in weeks, and then a full month page to write everything down on. I love that there is plenty of space for me to write everything that I have going on plus some, and the insert to mark the week is actually a wet erase system. You can write your to-do list on it or really important things on it then wipe it off when you have completed it. I am seriously obsessed with their notebook that has the week down the side that can tear off on its own and then lined paper on the other side to write everything that I need to do. My to-do list is always super jam packed and it all fits and let’s me see what blog posts and such I have going on during the week on the side. It seriously is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
3 – Write everything down. I literally write down eat lunch, do laundry, vacuum, etc. Then I make sure everything is out of my mind so when I am working or doing something off of my to-do list I am fully there not thinking of all the other things that I need to do. It also makes me feel so accomplished to mark things off of my to-do list.
I am completely obsessed with my Erin Condren planner and notebook. I love that you can customize it completely from the cover down to the colors of the inside and what the pages look like. Plus could you die over the accessories that you can snag like these markers!? Like I said, I am completely obsessed!!
