Simple Fall Home Decor Ideas
I have been spending a lot of time lately revamping my house. We have lived here for over two years now and I am ready for some changes. I was so excited to get out all of my fall home decor for this year and to snag some new pieces that were super affordable and realistic for anyone to do in their home. I wanted my decor to be pretty neutral but also something that my kids could be around and I wouldn’t be on edge the whole time that something was going to break. I wanted them to feel like it was things that they could help put out and it could be something that was fun for our whole family.
I don’t like to spend a lot of money on my decor because I know it is something that I will swap out in a few years. I love to find my decor places like Target & Walmart and then splurge on a few pieces to add in with those that I know I will keep for years and years to come. I am completely obsessed with how everything turned out this year and am honestly getting really excited to decorate for Christmas time and change things up for that too.
Simple Ideas for Fall Home Decor
Add simple touches.
All your decor doesn’t need to be big impact things. Grab some of the darling pumpkins out of the Target Dollar Spot and scatter them around your house in different places like your mantel, kitchen table, etc. They may be small but they make a big impact.
It doesn’t have to scream Halloween.
I love my decor to be pretty neutral so I can use it for fall as well. To me, it is worth buying only a few Halloween pieces like garlands that make it look like there is a lot more Halloween than there really is. This way when fall comes I’m not replacing all my decor, I’m just adding a couple things and taking a couple things away.
Go through what you have first.
Try revamping the things that you have before you run out to the store and buy new. Spray paint pumpkins, frames, etc. Try making your own garlands, and watch the clearance at the end of the season for pieces on way more affordable prices.
Printable in the frame on my mantel is from Indy & Pippa – Candles are from Costco (they are battery operated and have a remote) – Blanket basket is from Target I just can’t find it online yet
