Fall Neutrals
Last year at this time I was still pretty newly postpartum from Rosie. I decided a couple weeks ago to snag myself some new staple pieces for my wardrobe and I wanted to share with you some things that I looked for!
When buying neutrals textures is something that can pull the piece from looking overly simple. I love finding tops that have pretty buttons, different fabric types, or even sherpa. This adds so much to a piece and makes it have more interest than just being a sold neutral. A lot of the new season styles have textures and add so much to a look.
Finding jackets that can pair with a lot of different things is key. Jackets can be more of a splurge item so making sure that it is something that you really love and that will go with lots of different pieces and last for multiple years is so important. Faux fur and shearling are the perfect jackets to add more texture to your outfit. Denim is always a staple that will hold up to the test of time.
Adding a beautiful skirt and a dress to your collection for fall is the perfect thing. I love to look for ones that can be dressed up for a wedding or church on Sunday or dressed down for taking my littles out and about on errands. When thinking of a skirt or dress think about the different options to pair with it. Could you wear a sweater with it or over it? What shoes would dress it up or down?
Fall is my favorite time to wear jumpsuits and rompers. I love that they can stand alone or you can wear a cardigan or jacket over them. Look for different fabric types, linen, denim, etc. This will add more interest to whatever you are wearing!
