FAMILY TRADITIONS.
Over the 4th of July every year my family heads down to Jackson Hole, WY. It has been so fun having King there and this year was even more fun because of how much he loves adventures. We started our trip off by heading to the Fish Hatchery. Umm, let’s just say that King is not a fan of fish and stuck to whoever was holding him like glue. He never wants to be held, but you put some fish around him and he is practically crawling up your legs to be picked up.
He was so angry to take this picture with me ha. He just wanted to run around and for sure did not want grandma holding his little head in the hole. I just think it makes it even funnier that he is screaming and crying in it.
He loved to climb up the log fences and Uncle Brayden was always there to catch him and make sure he was safe and sound. The helicopter parent in me was anxious the whole time he would climb and jump off of everything. Let’s just say this mama is glad that we don’t live there or she might have a heart attack.
Brayden and King are truly the best of friends. King is always looking for Brayden and they are always chasing or throwing things at each other while laughing. I love that they have such an amazing bond together, it truly makes my heart burst.
The big kids ride bikes everywhere we go in Jackson, so we brought my parents trike stroller for King and he thought he was the same as the big kids. It was so fun to watch him “jump” in his seat over the bumps like the big kids were on their bikes.
This picture makes my heart burst. My mom is like King’s second mom. She takes him when I am feeling overwhelmed, adventures with him, plays with him, and everything in between. King loves my mom so much, I am so grateful to have her.
The parade was King’s favorite part of the entire trip. He loved watching the cars, horses (his favorite), kids, dogs, and of course the candy. I don’t think I have ever seen him sit that still in his entire life. He was completely obsessed with it.
It was a pretty great trip if you ask this mama. Quick and far enough away that you feel like you get away from life for a minute. Having family traditions that King gets to be a part of now is one of my most favorite parts of being a mama.
The baby is so cute, and happy family
