Faux Hawk Knot Hairstyle Tutorial

Today’s hair tutorial is such a good one, I am truly obsessed with it and trust me you are going to see me wearing it all summer long. It is super simple, truly it is just tying your hair in knots and securing them. I love that it can be worn half up, or all the way up like I am wearing here. Let’s get started shall we!?
 
This hairstyle is is perfect for mama’s, teenager girls, littles, anyone. I will say that I don’t know for sure that it will hold crazy well in a cute little busy girl. I’m going to keep this short and sweet though so let’s get to it. As always under the step by step tutorial there is a video tutorial!

1 – Section hair about an inch in from your temples back to the center of your head.
2 – Tie in a knot by looping hair around your fingers
3 – Pull hair through the loop you created with your fingers and secure really well with bobby pins.
4 – Section hair from just below your temples back to the center of your head. Repeat steps 2 & 3.
5 – Loosen knot slightly to make it appear more full. Secure with bobby pins.
6 – Take the remainder of your hair and tie one last knot.
7 – Secure the end with an elastic under the knot.
8 – Pin the hair in the elastic up underneath your final knot with bobby pins.
9 – Finish off with hairspray.
