FINDING YOUR OWN KIND OF BEAUTY IN MOTHERHOOD.
—SHOP THIS LOOK—
Motherhood is such an adventure, something that is constantly throwing curves at me just when I think I have everything figured out… I feel as if there is always something to be said to a mother also about the way that she mothers… Motherhood is something so beautiful. It is something so sacred and dear to my heart. Motherhood is something that is also so up and down, you can feel like you are conquering the world one minute, and then feel like things are crashing down right in front of you the next minute. I feel like as a mom it is so important to stay true to who you are and be your own kind of beautiful in motherhood. There is no right way to mother, as long as your littles are loved, safe, fed, and cared for, that is all that truly matters. Being strong and confident in the kind of mom that you are is something that can be so hard, but when you find that sweet spot and can be confident in the way you parent it will change your life. No women mothers the exact same way the same as no child should be mothered the exact same way.
One of the biggest things that I take from being a mom is that I learn more about myself from my little boy every day, and I probably learn more about myself than I teach him. I often have moments where I realize that King is here mostly to teach me more than I am supposed to teach him. He teaches me so much about myself and through motherhood. I have had to become a much more confident person, turn to and rely more on my husband, and find myself, who I am, and what I stand for. Being a mom is for sure not smelling the roses all the time, but having a little sidekick by my side constantly and becoming the person that I am meant to be is something makes it way more than worth it!
I am a firm believer that everyone out there is truly trying their best. I don’t know everyones stories, but I do think they are doing the very best they can with the cards that they have been given. Be nice to each other, there is no reason to critique and be mean to other moms or anyone. Build each other up. No one does well when everyone is bringing them down, it is when people are bringing each other up that we see them shine.
