FRIDAY FIVE.
Last week I decided to switch things up on Fridays and to share my Favorite Looks Friday, well, we are switching it up again with something a little bit more fun. FRIDAY FIVE. I am so excited for this series to hit the blog every Friday. I look forward to sharing my favorite products, favorite sales, favorite happenings from the week, or favorite products that I’m loving. What makes this fun though, is that I am going to choose my FIVE very favorite things from the week keeping it short, sweet, and simple so you can get your weekend started.
My thoughts have really been with the sweet family that lost their two year old little boy from an Aligator pulling him into the water at a Disney World resort this past week. My heart is completely broken for them and sweet Lane was only two which hits me so close to home with King being 18 months old. I think what hits me even harder is the fact that everyone is blaming these sweet parents who were right with their child. They have to live with what happened for the rest of their lives, they will never have their little boy back again, they are blaming themselves plenty without the world of social media blaming and shaming them. What happened to standing up together and supporting each other? Everything these days has to be “perfect parenting”, we aren’t allowed to have accidents, mistakes, or anything without having blame placed. Accidents happen no matter what we do. Sweet Graves family, Lane is my son at this time too, I morn with you and grieve with you. I can’t imagine what you are going through, however, I am broken hearted at the loss of your sweet boy. You are in my thoughts and prayers constantly.
We have been swimming at my moms house constantly this summer. We tried swimming lessons and King screamed the entire time. He hated it so bad. I gave it the best go for my sanity. He will swim fine with Zach, my little brother, etc. We will try again next year lol.
Food trucks are a must over here. These donuts are a favorite of ours in St. George. Zach works close to home now so he is able to bring home lunch almost everyday and we may or may not have a different food truck everyday… I am loving them so much lately. I am also loving my bracelet stack from The Shine Project, they employ inner city youth to go to college. You need to find them, follow them, and take in all the goodness that they share.
We recently went on a little girls trip (+King) to St. George and drove to Vegas for the day. We shopped our little hearts out and King was honestly so good the entire trip. It was so good to get away for a little bit and to spend time with my mom, aunt, and her little girls.
We recently received this darling card table tent for King. I am dying over it and he loves it so much. I love that they are bringing back playing outside, playing with imaginations, and back to real life childhood play. They have a Kickstarter right now and you have to go and see all their darling tent options.
Happy Friday babes, I hope you have the happiest weekend!
