Halloween Treats for Preschool
Now that King is in preschool I have loved figuring out fun activities that I can put together at home for his class and send with him to help the teachers a little bit. Activities that aren’t too messy, but that the kids get to have fun doing and are simple for the teachers to be able to do. I put together these fun Halloween Rice Krispies people packs for him to take to preschool for halloween treats and I thought I would share with you in case you have a little one in school. I think that even up to 4th graders would have fun making these.
These are prepackaged treats/snacks that you can send. I know that most schools don’t allow homemade treats so I kept that in mind while putting these together. I also packaged them up into plastic baggies for each one of the kids so when King takes them they are already put together for the teachers to just hand out to the kids!
What you will need:
Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treats® Original (16 ct., prepackaged)
Keebler® Cookie Mini Fudge Stripes (12 ct.)
Marshmallows
Sprinkles for eyes
Plastic Baggies
Toothpicks
Keebler® & Cheez-It® Variety Pack (20 ct.) and Pringles® Original (12 ct.) for them to choose a snack while they are making their Rice Krispies people
Steps:
1 – I wrote everyones name on the plastic baggies, I figured it was easier to write their names on them while the baggies were empty.
2 – Each kit will need a Rice Krispies Treat, Marshmallows, Mini Fudge Stripes, Toothpicks, and Sprinkles for the eyes. Set these out so they are in a line so it makes filling the baggies easier.
3 – Go down the line and put one of each of the above in the baggie for each child in the class.
4 – I sent a picture of what my finished product looked like for the teacher, but I think the best part of these is that each little one’s creativity can go crazy! The nice thing about them is the Rice Krispies Treats are a little bit sticky so the snacks stick to them without any frosting or anything, you just have to tell the little ones to push them down a little bit or walk around and push them into the Rice Krispies Treats for them.
5 – Send them to school with your little or take them to your littles class party for Halloween!
I think these are such a fun and easy idea for kids to make for a class party because they aren’t messy at all, I mean things will probably fall on the floor because that is inevitable, but they are relatively clean. Each child gets to use their creativity to make their Halloween treat how they want to, plus you can send it to school for the teacher easily to pass out and the kids to make if you aren’t able to make it yourself.
If you need a treat to send with your little one or want to send a simple recipe that they can do together as a class, snag some Mini Fudge Stripes Cookies and some marshmallows. Layer the marshmallow between the two Mini Fudge Stripes and then put them in the oven for about a minute or for 5 seconds in the microwave and they have little bit sized S’Mores for the kids to snack on! Simple, easy, and even preschoolers can put them together themselves!
