Home Tour: Our Entry Way
The entry way is the first thing that you see when you walk into someone’s home. It is something that can say so much about a home, family, and person. I have waited to do anything to our entry until I knew exactly what I wanted. I knew I wanted simplicity, yet interest, but some color too. We tested out a bunch of different paint colors on the wall to find the perfect shade of pink.
I have sourced everything for you at the bottom of the post.
We ended up using the paint color Sonora Rose from Behr Paint at 75%. It gave us the perfect pink tone without screaming the color pink at you. Zach painted up the wall about 1/2 of the way because we knew we wanted to eventually put up a picture ledge. I wanted the picture ledge to be higher than eye level so we taped out a paint tape line to see where we wanted the picture ledge shelf to go. Once we knew where we wanted it we taped off the wall to paint the bottom half the pink tone.
Zach built this super long mega shelf for the picture ledge and I am completely obsessed with it. I couldn’t be more in love with how it turned out. It is the perfect earthy tone/look with the simplicity I was wanting. I wanted it to add interest but still be simple. It took him a minute to figure out how to make it this long and also look right while connecting the wood, but he did it and it is perfection.
The art I chose is from Desenio. I did all matching frames to keep it really simplistic and cohesive. I pulled all the art pieces I was thinking about into a mood board before purchasing them to make sure that they all tied in together how I was hoping. I am a super visual person so putting them all down in one place before I ordered let’s me be sure it is exactly what I want and going to give the feel that I am looking for. Desenio has tons of different art options and you can add the frames on too which is nice because you buy everything in one place and it all comes/ships together. You can select different print sizes and the frame size and color all on one page of their site making it easy to make sure you get the right frame for the right piece of art.

For the rest of the space I off set a wicker arched shelf that I was able to snag on Facebook Marketplace. I kept the decor of the shelf super simple so it wouldn’t take away from the art and the picture ledge but still have something to ground the space while adding the texture of the wicker. If you have been here for a little bit you also know that no space is complete in my home without a plant so a big rubber tree plant was a MUST. I love that it adds life to the space and a completely different texture.
I couldn’t be more obsessed with how everything came together. The simplicity of the art is truly what I think gives the look and feel that I was hoping for in my entry way.
