January Favorites
January is always the hardest month for me. I read something the other day from a friend that had gone to the doctor, she said that doctors see more mental health conditions brought to their attention through January and February. That is so interesting to me because I also feel like my mental health struggles more through those months than any other time of the year.
I was talking to Zach the other day and I was telling him that it has only taken me three years but I finally am almost through the wrapping paper I don’t like and some other things that I promised myself to go through before buying other things that I truly love. This past couple of years I have really found what I love and withstands the test of time for me. As I purchase things I really sit and think about if it fits the style that I want my home or life to feel. I have found all these things this past month and have absolutely loved them and know you will too so I wanted to share them so you can snag them if they are something you are looking for.
Windowpane Pillow – Pillows are an easy way to change the look of a room and an affordable one too. When I saw this windowpane pillow drop at Target from Studio McGee I knew I loved it. It has a removable cover on it so it can be washed which is something that is really important to me. I also love the little subtle ruffle on the edges and the blue + gingham feels like spring to me.
Stone clock – This is also from the Studio McGee Target line and I am in love with it. It is even better in person than in photos. It is the perfect addition to open shelving, a dresser, nightstand, or anywhere else. It adds the perfect amount of texture while still being simple.
Ribbed Glass – I saw @IHonestlyLoved post about these and loved them. I have had them screenshotted for a really long time until it made sense for me to buy them. They are the prettiest glasses. They have a glass version and an acrylic version if you are worried about your kids breaking them.
Ceramic Plates – I have been in love with @LoveEcru plates for the longest time however they are out of my price range. When I found these that look super similar to them I fell in love and snagged them quick. I did the smaller 8 inch plate and it has been perfect for our family and also looks so pretty on my open shelving.
Wood Garland – I’m sure you are going to be mind blown to hear this is also from the Studio McGee Target line. I feel like everything they do is stunning and also affordable. I love the texture that this gives on my entryway table. I have it in a small bowl on top of some books and it is the perfect finishing touch.
Spray Mop – My spin mop I use every night broke (not my Hoover floor cleaner, that which is still the best ever) so I wanted something super affordable but that made it easy to mop around my barstools and in my kitchen every night. I found this and it has been great for quick messes. It doesn’t replace my Hoover at all but is great for quick things.
Exfoliating Glove – I love to sunless tan but exfoliating before had has always been frustrating for me. I bought this on Amazon and it is a glove that you put on and then rub your body with. It has been the best thing ever to use before I sunless tan.
Claw Clips – These claw clips are one of my favorite things. I have worn them in a few hair tutorials recently. They come in a big pack so I kept a couple for myself and then gifted some to friends too.
White Pillow – Another Studio McGee Target thing! This pillow is so good. It is something that I will have for years and years. The small lace detail on the edges is perfect and it also has a removable cover!
