King for sure keeps me on my toes, whether it is putting holes in our new couch (yep, that happened yesterday), taking his diaper off and running around, climbing in the cabinets with my vases and pushing them out, or sneaking out my moms front door (yep, that happened, luckily I was right with him when he opened it…now we lock it). This sweet boy takes me from adventure to adventure. Even when he is tired he has more energy then I do when I get extra sleep, have a big Diet Coke, and some treats. I have had to really refocus and make sure that I am doing what is necessary to keep my energy up. Being a working mom both inside and outside of the home takes a lot of my energy, but I can’t let it take all of it. It is so important for me to still have energy to play with King when I get off of my nursing shift, or am done working in my office.
I have found that scheduling time to play into my schedule is one big thing for me. Playing and spending time with King is just as important if not more important than working to me. It gives me so much energy to go out and play with him, and the sunshine does us all a little good in our moods, right?
Adding Energems into my routine when I am feeling in a slump with my energy has been a game changer. They help me to be ready for whatever King brings my way during the day and to have enough energy to be my best self. Many nights I don’t go to bed until really late due to answering emails and writing posts. Knowing that I have something that will help me to conquer the day and to do my best through the day has helped me so much. I get more done during the times I’m working because I am not anxious that I won’t have enough energy for the next day. I love that they are so portable so I can have some in the diaper bag for when I need a little boost. I can also take one, two, or three depending on how much energy I need that day.
When King is awake and I am not at my nursing job, I make sure that we are playing for at least half of that time. Whether it is going for a walk, reading books on the grass out front, or playing on the play ground. Knowing that King is getting the attention that he needs helps me to be my better self and to have more energy through out the day, even though he wears me out when we are playing with all of his adventures and energy.
Energems contain 133 mg of caffeine, which is equivalent to a large cup of coffee. They won’t give you the jitters like some energy drinks do, how amazing is that? I love that they are made with real dark chocolate along with the caffeine so they also are like a little treat to me. They are full of antioxidants so I am helping free my body of free radicals all while boosting my energy.
I wanted to share with you something that has helped me when coming home from work or other things to walk in, have energy, and to feel like I am some what put together. I put together this little car pick me up kit and use it when I am headed somewhere and need a little boost, am coming home and want to walk in ready to play with King, or any other time.

Oh I need to create a kit like this but give myself a 10 minute time out in the afternoons to go use it since I don’t work outside the home! I need that pick me up kit usually about 2pm…Oh those Energems would be just the thing to keep up with my Tween boys, special needs daughter, and my new baby. Oh energy, I haven’t seen you in a while. lol. -client
