KING’S BEDTIME ROUTINE FULL OF SWEET SNUGGLE MOMENTS

We are all about snuggle moments in our house. Anytime that I can snuggle this sweet boy I am going to. He is going to be big before I know it and maybe won’t give me those sweet loves and kisses anymore, which if we are going to be honest, will break my heart. I wanted to share with you today how we make the most of bedtime at our house and get as many snuggles as we can. 

We for some reason don’t always bath King in the same bath tub, anyone else like this? Sometimes he baths in our bath tub and other nights in his own tub. I was starting to get really frustrated with hauling all the bath stuff back and forth… I came up with this bath time basket and it has saved us. Even if your littles bath in the same tub every night, this will keep everything clean and organized for bath time and make it run so much smoother.

What you will need:
Basket
Books
Soap/Bubble Bath 
Lotion
Bath Toys
Towel
Washcloth
Pajamas
Diaper
Anything else you love to use at bath time

Gather all of your items and put them in your basket, simple right? Then when you head to bath time, you just grab your basket and you have everything you need right there. I put books in ours so that way we can snuggle and read stories right out of the tub. There is nothing better than snuggling a sweet fresh and clean baby who is wrapped in a towel like a burrito am I right? King loves to help carry his basket to the tub and unload it. I also love that it is a way that your littles can be involved in bath time!

Our night time routine is pretty simple. King has a bath every night because oh my goodness, boys already stink when they are little! King loves to play outside so when he comes in I feel like I have to plug my nose because he has been so sweaty and stinky! I mean he is one years old, who knew boys were always stinky!? Bath time is full of splashing and playing, King could live in the bath if we let him. I think it is his favorite place, well besides outside!

After we bath and read stories wrapped up in a towel like a little baby burrito we go into his room, put his diaper on, and lather him up in lotion. I like to make sure his skin is always hydrated. He tends to have dry skin and pretty sensitive skin so this is a must at our house. 

Pajamas are next and King’s least favorite part of the night. I love this part though because he smells sooo good after we put his jammies on! This is my favorite part of the night. King drinks his milk before bed and this is his most snuggly part of the night. He will just lay on my lap and drink his milk. I try so hard to reflect on our day during this time and think about how he is growing up, what kind of boy he is, and what kind of momma I am. This is our little time together every night and it is my favorite part of the entire day.

After his milk and brushing his little teeth, he knows right wehre to go to grab his binkie and his monster that he sleeps with. We leave these on the edge of his bed so he can reach them. When he grabs them we know he is tired and ready to go down for the night. We turn on his fan and we turn off the light. He goes down really easy and we know we sure are lucky for that!

After King goes down, I go and start the laundry.
