LIVING HEALTHY FOR MY LITTLE ONE.
Having King has made me look at so many different aspects of my life so differently. It has made me really sit back and realize who and what is important. I use to be the girl who would sit on the couch all day long with package after package of cookies with Diet Coke on repeat watching reality T.V. I never went running or worked out, and life was just peachy… or was it? I didn’t take care of myself at all. I would just do what I wanted when I wanted. It wasn’t a good lifestyle for anyone.
After having King, I have really realized that I need to take care of myself or I can’t take care of him. If I am not feeling my best, I don’t take care of King the way he needs to be taken care of. Easy as that. I have really had to take a step back and realize that my life was so unhealthy and I really truly felt like crap.
First I started eating better. I made small changes so it wasn’t so hard or shocking. The first thing we started with was eating fruits and vegetables with meals. No, we didn’t even eat vegetables… Awful right? I bought fresh vegetables and then we moved to substituting all of our noodles and rice with brown rice or quinoa. It wasn’t as hard as it seemed and slowly our diets have got so much better.
Second, I started taking probiotics. I started taking Align Probiotic Supplement. It fortifies your digestive system with healthy bacteria 24/7 (Legal disclaimer: With continued use) Taking this has changed the way that I feel. I feel healthier and I know that I am getting all the probiotics that I need to continue feeling healthy. I think that taking this daily is the easiest thing and has made the biggest change with being so easy. With a constantly changing routine with a baby I know that Align Probiotics will help me to keep a natural balance of good bacteria. You can also head over to everyone’s favorite store Target and use our favorite Cartwheel App to receive 15% on Align Probiotic products, until 7/19.
Third, we started running together as a family. The feeling that you have after a couple hours of a good run is life changing. Running is for sure not easy for me and it takes myself forcing me out of the house, but I tell myself every day I go that it would only be harder tomorrow.
I know that making these small changes in my lifestyle will help me to be a better mom and wife to my family. Taking care of myself physically needs to always come first so I can take care of my family to the best of my ability.
