MADE FOR MOTHERHOOD.
Today we woke up with a beautiful blanket of white snow outside. I do find it ironic that it snowed really late in the year for Utah, but it happened to snow the day that they decided to do the cement for the foundation for my house ha. Isn’t that how it seems to go? As I sat looking at the beautiful snow this morning, I sat and thought. Thought about all the things that I am grateful for, blessed with, and the amazing people that their paths just happened to cross mine at the right time right when I needed them. I am so excited for Christmas, but feeling so beyond grateful for Thanksgiving right now. Thankful that I can sit down, bring myself and my thoughts back to where they need to be, and remind myself of everything that I have in my life that I am so grateful for.
As we took this set of pictures a little while ago, King was so good, Zach was a trooper, and everything seemed to go so well (which usually doesn’t happen). I got in the car after and reflected on how grateful I am for these two boys. The two boys that hate to take pictures but do it because it means so much to me. The boys that will always support me and my craziness even if I tell them we are driving two hours to this beautiful pumpkin patch that I have been wanting to take pictures at, the guy who will take half a day off work to come and take pictures as a family with me and our little stinker boy. I am so grateful. It is the little things in life that mean the most to me right now as I sit and reflect. Last night Zach walked in from the grocery store with a chocolate orange (my absolute favorite) and I was so grateful. This morning, after it had snowed for the first time, he pulled my car in my in-laws garage after they had left for work so I wouldn’t have to scrape the windows. It is the little things that make such a huge difference that I need to sit down and remember to look for, be grateful for, and to tell him how grateful I am for him.
I hope you all have a great day, remember look for the little things to be grateful for. There are so many if we just look for them.
