Making the Holidays Family Centered & Our Family Holiday Outfits
Does anyone else love the feelings of the holidays? There is so much hustle and bustle, events, parties, dinners, get togethers, holiday outfits etc. There is buying gifts, setting up decorations, making lists, serving others, and so much more. I think that the holidays are such an amazing time of the year, however I also think that it can be so hard to not get too caught up in it and forget that my family is where I want my time dedicated.
We moved into our new home in July and I have looked forward to Christmas since. When we were living with my in-laws we didn’t really decorate much for Christmas. Growing up, decorating my parents’ house with my mom is and was one of my favorite things. Going through boxes and boxes of decorations, Christmas music playing the background, no real rush to any of it, etc. Those are some of my favorite memories and those are the memories I want to create with my family. She use to let me pick where I would put certain decorations in her house and I felt like I was on top of the world.
We have our home decorated some for the holidays, not as much as I wish it was, but with a new home I was prepared for that. Letting King set up the plush nativity was the highlight of his night and watching him shove ornaments into the tree made us giggle for hours. My family is what is the most important thing to me during the holidays. Creating those memories that he will hopefully remember for years to come and making memories that I will keep forever is my goal through the holidays.
T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods is one of my favorite places to shop and to get my holiday decor and holiday outfits. They have everything that I need from Christmas holiday outfits for my family to decorations and pieces for entertaining. I love that they know that family is the greatest gift and that they do an amazing contest called the Gift My Gathering contest that inspires people to connect with the people who matter most. What is so amazing is that this holiday season they are going to make it possible for five families from across the U.S. come together and celebrate at a holiday gathering. Is there a more amazing gift than that!? They have teamed up with Carla Hall to share her tips and tricks for holiday gatherings so you can spend more time with your family.
Now through November 28th you can go to giftmygathering.com and tell them how they can help you to gather up your family and the people who matter the most this holiday season. They then will select the five families and give them the amazing gift of being together for the holidays.
