Maternity Pieces I Can’t Go Without
A big question that I have been getting recently is what are my MUST HAVE, can’t live without maternity pieces. While I don’t have a ton of them, the ones that I have a spend a little bit more money on because I know they will last my entire pregnancy plus my next one(s). Now that I am almost in my third trimester I know what I truly can’t live without and the things that are worth the little bit of extra money.
I pretty much LIVE in maternity leggings. They go with so many different things and can be dressed down or dressed up. They fit super comfortable and I’m not wanting to take them off right when I get home from wherever I needed to go. I love that I can wear them with long sweatshirts or pair a longer tee with a jacket and some booties. They are my most worn thing in my closet right now for sure. I have two pair that I splurged on and trade of wearing them just about daily!
This is the one thing that if you ask me is a MUST in your maternity closet. Basic tees can be worn under jackets or cardigans when it is cooler, on its own, under jean vests when the weather gets warmer, or even under rompers or dresses. Generally during pregnancy you are wearing clothes during multiple seasons, having pieces that you can wear through multiple seasons with pieces that you already have like jackets and cardigans is a must. Buying a good basic tee will get you through multiple pregnancies without it getting holes, etc.
I generally wear a lot of dresses when I am pregnant. Most of them are from before I was pregnant but I always snag a good bodycon dress for each pregnancy. This piece can so easily be dressed up or dressed down, worn to church, events, or even to the park with your kids. I buy myself a new one each pregnancy and if I buy a good one it gets me through that pregnancy and I get to wear it during my next pregnancy too!
I buy ONE pair of really good jeans when I’m pregnant. I bought one pair when I was pregnant with King and they are still my go to jeans on my third pregnancy and I haven’t bought any new ones. Investing in a GOOD pair of maternity jeans when you are pregnant (especially when you are going to have more kids) will save your bacon. You will FEEL good in them which truly is what matters the most!
This one might seem “funny” or unexpected but having a good pair of sneakers to wear during pregnancy is KEY. My feet hurt really bad by the end of the day and so wearing a good pair of shoes is essential for keeping my feet feeling better. I don’t know why my feet kill so bad by the end of the day but wearing good sneakers is my secret to making it through the day!
