Summer has been this boys best friend. He loves that he can go play outside alllllll day long until daddy gets home, then he gets to play outside more. Summer has been a hard thing for my to grasp and figure out with him though… do I have a routine in place? do I just let things come and go? should we make plans for each day for some type of activity?
I’m not sure the best thing to do to keep this busy boys mind learning. Summer I feel like is a time to be spontaneous, roll with the punches, etc. however, is that the best thing for King? Should I have us in a routine where he knows for the most part what is happening when? Should I be doing learning activities with him? Taking him on different adventures on scheduled times?
I think that most of us are just striving to be the best we can for our littles, working to make sure they are learning, growing, and becoming a good person with nothing but good intentions. We are all striving for our littles to make it in this big old world, to be kind, polite, respectful, smart, etc. I truly believe that parents have good intentions constantly doing what they feel is best for their littles.
So whether we have a routine, don’t have a routine, do learning activities, don’t do learning activities, or whatever, I do know that I am trying my best to do what is right for this little boy, my family, and me. That right there is all we are all doing for the most part right?
