Spring is officially here in Utah and we are soaking up the sun all day every day. I have loved pulling out all my pastel colored and spring clothes. There is just something about wearing spring clothes, having the sun on your skin, and playing outside. Anyone else feel that way? We spend all day every day shoveling. I have been on the hunt lately for some new spring pieces (mine are all in storage) that don’t break the bank, but also are cute and functional enough to shovel with King all day. I wanted pieces for both of us that could be worn a variety of ways where we don’t have a ton of storage at my in-laws and I don’t want to buy a ton of new clothes when I have a ton packed away.
I went to Old Navy last week because, hello Old Navy has the best cute, functional, and affordable clothes for King & I so I knew it would be the perfect place to shop! Plus in the reader survey at the beginning of the year that I did, you guys asked me to share Old Navy finds with you so I thought it was perfect!
I snagged us both some pieces that are a little twist on nautical wear with in cooperating the happy spring colors that we all love. I knew I needed this denim jacket with embroidery. Who doesn’t love a denim jacket let alone with embroidery?! I knew it was something I could wear over and over with so many different pieces that I already owned. I love this stripe lace up top because it is perfect by itself, or I love that it can so easily be layered. Lastly, I grabbed blush pants because hello, don’t they scream spring time and just make your heart happy looking at them? Each of the pieces I snagged for myself are functional, can be worn so many different ways, wash up like champs, and nothing is over $40. Winning!!
King’s outfit was my favorite to pick out because I love to sit and imagine him playing in an outfit when I pick it out. Weird? Maybe ha. I loved these khaki joggers because they are light weight and they can go with anything he has in his closet. Little boys in jogger pants seriously make my heart burst. I found this button up stripe shirt for him and knew it was perfect to wear to church, or on a regular day. Lastly, his shoes. Could you die? I am super obsessed and so is he! Everything from King’s outfit can be dressed up and worn to church, or wash up great and can be worn to shovel at the park. I love that everything was under $18 so if he stains something or ruins it (he is a little stinker!) then it is something that is easy to replace.
I hope that this helps you find pieces that are functional, still trendy, and that won’t break the bank!
