My New Year Goals
We had an amazing Christmas break and even were able to have Zach home more than we thought we would which was so fun. I set some new year goals for myself and wanted to share them with you. More than anything I always give myself a word to live by that year. My word for this year is INTENTION. I want to make sure that I am spending my time intentionally. Working intentionally. Playing with King with intention. When I go to the store, etc. I want to have the intention to seek out those whom I could help, serve, etc. and look beyond myself and my own situation. I want to make sure my relationships have intention behind them and that what I do is always for good. I think it is so important to live intentionally, in the present, and look past my own situation to others. That is what I am going to strive for this year and I am so excited to see the difference these new year goals make in my every day life.
I wanted to share with you a little bit of our Christmas break, what we did and some outfits that I received a lot of questions on that I posted so that if you had questions you can easily shop them too!
The picture at the top is one of my absolute favorite pictures, we are working on framing our laundry room in the basement so we can move our washer and dryer down there and then have a mud room when you walk in from the garage to drop things, store things, etc. My grandpa is a plumber and came over to help us run the waterlines, etc. He let King help him and work with him even though it probably made it take 5x longer than it should have and watching the two of them work together made my heart burst. He would talk King through things, let King experiment, etc. King loves his “tractor grandpa” as he calls him and I’m so grateful that my grandpa is able to know and have an amazing relationship with my little boy.
Kelsie my photographer went to Paris for a wedding and so Zach took a lot of my pictures at home for my posts. He is doing so well behind the camera and starting to get the shots that I have in my head. He isn’t always thrilled to take my pictures for me, but he always will and I am so grateful for him always supporting me and this business of mine.
My parents took King to St. George and I was able to stay with Matt so they could go. This guy is my best friend in the entire world and I am so grateful that we were so blessed to have him and his special spirit in our family. He radiates so much goodness, happiness, and light. He can trash talk like nobody’s business and loves to be teased.

I hit half way with my pregnancy over Christmas break and still can’t believe that we are having another little one in our family. King we had infertility with and this baby was a meant to be baby that we are so blessed to welcome into our family. We also found out that we are 100% having a little girl. I am in shock, a little bit in denial because I had come to terms that I probably would never have a little girl and was having all boys, and can’t wait to put her in bows, dresses, and leopard moccs! I have bought a few things for her and am so excited!!
King is getting so big. He loves preschool so much and was so excited to go back to his teachers. He is settling down a little bit after Christmas and his birthday. I joked with his teachers that we can’t have holidays at our house because they get him all rilled up and crazy. It has been so good for both of us to get back into a routine and to get back to regular life.

We moved into our house in July and in September is when I started being super sick with this pregnancy so I literally went into hiding survival mode and wasn’t able to meet very many people. There are so many amazing girls in our new church ward and we all went on a girls night (all 19 of us!) to dinner and a movie. I have always wished to live somewhere like this, to have friends like this, and to do fun things with girls that are amazing boss babes and mamas. I got home that night and told Zach that I am so grateful for where we live, the people that we have surrounding us, and that we trusted our guts on this house and lot.
King has started to do chores to earn quarters and buy things that he really wants. He had some extra money from his birthday in the summer he has been saving and with that and his quarters he saved up half of the money to buy the huge robot Lego toy he wanted so we paid the difference and he was so excited and so proud. It was funny when it came in the mail he looked at me and asked if now I gave him his money back.
Hope you all had a fantastic Holiday break. What are your new year goals? Share them with me in the comments below!
