On The Go Must Haves For Mamas
As a mama I am always on the go, we always have somewhere to be I feel like. A question I get asked all the time over on Instagram is what my must have products for on the go with littles are so I thought I would put it together in a blog post for you to be able to come back to when you need it! These are products that I truly think make being out on the go with littles just a little bit easier!
dress || shoes || stroller || carseat || leather mat || diaper bag
|| DOUBLE STROLLER ||
I think this is my biggest one. Having a double stroller is key for me being able to take King and Lettie anywhere together. We love our UPPABaby VISTA stroller and have the RumbleSeat on the front for King and then a Ride Along board on the back for him that he calls his “skateboard”. We also have the attachments to put the carseat on which is what we generally do right now and it makes life so much easier!
|| SNACKS ||
You will hardly ever find us without a diaper bag full of snacks and a drink for King. A hungry toddler is an angry toddler so I try my best to keep things on hand that I can hand him and that won’t make a big mess. We generally have fruit leather, fruit snacks, pretzel sticks, etc. in our diaper bag in snack sized baggies so I can give him a baggy full and he can snack all he wants wherever we are.
|| BACKPACK DIAPER BAG ||
If your toddler is a runner like King you are going to need as many arms free as you can give yourself. Plus to me there is nothing worse then when you go to chase your toddler with a bag on your shoulder and it comes flying down your arm as your running and you are trying to run and push the bag up on your shoulder so you don’t loose everything in it. We are in love with our Freshly Picked Diaper bag. It can be a backpack like I’m wearing here or it also comes with a shoulder strap if that is more your jam. It can fit so much stuff in it that I haven’t ever felt like I needed more space which is truly amazing if you know how much I pack with me.
|| WHITE NOISE MACHINE ||
This has been key to keeping Lettie happy while we are out and about. She still doesn’t love her carseat, but when I turn the white noise machine on she is good to go for awhile. We love this one because it recharges instead of changing out the batteries all the time.
|| TODDLER ACTIVITIES ||
Having things for King to do in the diaper bag has been game changing. I buy the tiny Play-Doh and keep one in the side pocket of the diaper bag so I can grab it easily along with a little car and one of his Paw Patrol guys. Then no matter where we are I have a few options to hand him that isn’t my phone if things are getting out of control.
|| GATHRE MAT ||
We swear by our Gathre leather mat. We have a bunch of them and they go everywhere with us. We use them at the park for lunch dates, in the back of the car for diaper changes, outside for craft projects, under high chairs, etc. They are super easy to wipe off and fold up and you don’t have to worry about a mess.
|| LOW EXPECTATIONS ||
This is probably my biggest one. Having low expectations sets you up to have a better day. When I don’t expect to get many errands ran or much done in the day then when I get at least what I wanted to if not more done than I am so much happier. It also keeps King happier because I am not expecting him to be good for more time than I truly know that he can be.
