Babies are the best aren’t they? I think we have had this discussion before but their little butt cheeks are my all time favorite part of them. Do you blame me? Then comes their tiny little chubby toes and fingers, their eyes full of innocence, and their plump little lips. There are so many amazing things that come with having a baby, the snuggles, unconditional love that you didn’t even know you could have, they way they feel like they have always been a part of your family and so much more.
I swear with King I was ready and excited for each new milestone. I was so excited for the new things he was learning and couldn’t wait to see what was next. Then little Lettie came along and I found my self sad that she was learning new things because I knew how fast it truly could go. I always just nodded when people would tell me to cherish it because it goes so fast but then with my second baby it all made sense.
Lettie is to the point where she has alllllllmost all her teeth but not quite. I’m not ready for her to have a mouth full of little chompers but I also am ready for the tears, diaper rash, and other things to be gone for her. King was a teething pro, he never had any troubles with it. Lettie has been a different story. I never knew that a diaper rash was a common thing with littles who are cutting teeth. I also didn’t know it was a thing with littles trying new foods at 6 months, did you know that? We always have our tried and true Triple Paste on hand for when those moments come up that we had no idea about so we can help get our littles relief as soon as possible. We love to snag ours at Target while we are already shopping there! We keep the big jar in her diaper drawer, a small tube in the car, and another small tube in in the car for those “oh crap” moments that we all run into…am I right?
No matter what comes up with your little one, the days are long but the years are short. The moment will be gone before we know it good or bad and they will be little walking, talking people before we know it. Cherish it, it truly goes by so much faster than you wish.
