SIMPLE DIY HALLOWEEN COSTUME
(Make sure you scroll to the bottom for a $3,000 giveaway!)
Halloween will be here before we know it and I’m okay with that because that means that baby K will be here quicker! I love Halloween, but I don’t love dressing up. I don’t know why, but I have never been one to go all out. I love the feeling of Halloween (just not the scary stuff), the treats, the decorations (cute ones of course!) and all of it! We always are invited to a few Halloween parties and I never know what to wear…
I want to dress up, but go all out. My darling mom made me this cute pirate costume a couple years ago and I love it. I love that it is modest, and still dressed up, but not too much. The skirt was so easy! We just bought the fabric, cut it to size, cut out the fringe on the bottom, sewed an elastic waist band around the top, and then sewed around the fringe on the bottom so it wouldn’t fray up the whole skirt. The sash is just roughly cut from fabric we bought at the store. I paired it with a black tee, a statement necklace and booties to add to the look.
